Just Got Back From HSM3! (My Review - Spoilers)

Post by Samuel »

The film was fantastic, I loved the first one but found it so cheesy and young, I thought the 2nd was a progression but still quite cheesy. The 3rd is definitely the best and it isn't half as cheesy, yeah it's still cheesy but nowhere near as cheesy.

The cinema was full to capacity on the first showing and the queue was out the door for the second showing as we came out. It was really exciting when it started, everyone was screaming, it was like being at a concert when the artists are about to come on.

I downloaded the soundtrack as soon as I could so I knew the songs, I wasn't expecting them to be in the places they were in the film so it was a really nice surprise when one showed up when it did.

The dance routines are amazing, especially when Sharpay and Ryan are involved, I loved the fact that they were BACK in school in this one, number 2 was spoiled by the fact they were away for summer.

Miss Darbis is back in this one as well, a lot more than the other one which I loved, she also has a lovely part with Troy, she's a main part of the storyline.

Sharpay absolutely stole the show at some points, she was brilliant, I can't say anyone wasn't though.

The ending was really emotional, they do the graduation speech then sing High School Musical, then one of my fave bits from the whole film.....

They recreate this image, they're outside, the main 6 and the High School Musical writing comes down with a curtain exactly like in the first dvd cover, then it shows each of them one by one for a few seconds, then they walk forward, throw their hats in the air and jump! it was fantastic, it really showed where it all began and where it ends.

I can't praise the film enough, I know I'm a fan so am probably biased but after loving the other 2 I'd prepared myself to be quite disappointed, it was better than anything I'd imagined. I loved the storyline, the fact they were back in school, the way it ended, the songs, the acting, the dance and show scenes, all the characters are there.

Oh, there is one thing that disappointed me, Gabriella's Mum is different. I want to go and see it again

James, HSM4 has already been announced, and the 3 new Wildcats that are in HSM3 will be the stars.

A few weeks ago, JimHillMedia had an article with some spoilers about HSM4. I'll post them in white below, so you don't have to scroll through the whole article, which is located here:

(Highlight to read HSM3 & HSM4 spoilers)
The real reason that the Mouse is putting this much effort into promoting HSM3 is that the Studio already has what it thinks is a great idea for HSM4. One that actually picks on a loose story thread from "Senior Year." Where -- toward the end of that film (SPOILERS AHEAD !!) -- Ms. Darbus (Alyson Reed) suddenly announces that she's going on sabbatical for the next school year and then names Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) as her temporary successor.

And given that Ms. Evans will have already bumped heads with Tiara (Jemma McKenzie-Brown), a new transfer student to East High who'll be introduced in "High School Musical 3." This beautiful Brit will -- at first, anyway -- appear to be nice. But Tiara eventually reveals herself to be just as big a schemer as Sharpay is.

And that's pretty much the set-up for "High School Musical 4." East High now has dueling Divas. With Sharpay (Who's putting off college for a while) calling the shots in the school's drama department while Tiara (Who's determined to come out on top) does everything she can to try & get back into her former mentor's good graces.

(End of spoilers!)

It was talked about so much that all the current HSM stars are "graduating" from the series, so I doubt they will be in any more sequels.
