Singstar Disney game announced !!!

Post by Jack Skellington »

Singstar is a really cool game on the PS2 which includes two mics so you can show off your singing abilities, it's the most successful karaoke game ever, and I'm a big fan of the game, and now I have even more reason to discuss my hobby on UD !

As you can see now Disney have announced a Singstar game dedicated just for their most popular songs. :D

It is confirmed for a 28th of November release on Amazon.co.uk in Europe. (hopefully Disney fans across the Atlantic would get their hands on it soon in the NTSC format)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SingStar-Singal ... 31MHHZK139

There are 30 tracks in each singstar, we only know 7.

These are the confirmed songs so far :

Aladdin -"A Whole New World"

The Jungle Book -"The Bare Necessities"

Toy Story -"You Got A Friend In Me"

The Little Mermaid -"Under The Sea"

Pinocchio -"When You Wish Upon A Star"

The Aristocats - "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat"

The Lion King -"I Just Can't Wait To Be King"

Also movies (not listed above) that are expected to have a track are,
Beauty & the Beast, Tarzan, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians (this one's easy to figure out which !), and Cinderella

oh! I was wondering when this'd be released!

I just hope they'll fit the less karaoke-friendly songs in like "once upon a dream", "part of your world" and "i wan'na be like you".

Oy.

At least I know what to get Kram and Jane for Christmas. They're crazy for SingStar.

Kanine Krunchies! My favorite! :)

My friend has a similar game, but it has HSM songs, as well as some Aly & AJ and Jesse McCartney songs. Hopefully she'll get this one so we can sing!!! There's also supposed to be another HSM/Hannah Montana/other Disney teen pop game like this coming out, isn't there?

Actually Amy those games aern't part of the Singstar series, I think they are just from the Disney company.

BTW I don't think "Kanine Krunchies" will be in the game, I think "Cruella De Ville" is a more popular song, but it's kind of cute that you mentioned that song !

Oh...well, they are Disney karaoke games, at least!

I was kind of joking with the "Kanine Krunchies" mention...I enjoy the song, but it's so short and although it would be super awesome if it were included in something (other than the movie and its soundtrack), I don't doubt that if only 1 song from 101 Dalmatians is in the game, surely it'll be "Cruella De Ville".

PS2?

Why not for the PS3? I know the console is expensive, but if I am not mistaken the newer PS3 models don't have backwards compatibility with PSone and 2 games (the first models had it, but in order to reduce the costs Sony stripped the new models out of the feature). Plus the PS2 is pretty much dead, save for some unexpected releases here and there.

Most importantly, why don't they make a similar game for the Wii? The Wii is a more family oriented console and thus titles like this would be a perfect choice for the system.

The HSM game like this that my friend has is for the Wii...I mean, it's not songs from the animated films, but it's a Disney karaoke game for the Wii...it's a start!

Why, thank you, Mike! That made me have warm fuzzies inside! :) But I do actually enjoy "Kanine Krunchies". I mean, it's not my favorite Disney song, but it's very enjoyable.

Kanine Krunchies is such an underrated song...It comes close to A whole new world in terms of majesty and charm. Why Disney doesn't include it on their song compilation CDs? :p

That's what I'm talking about! It should have it's own Sing-Along Songs tape. I mean, "Friend Like Me" did, "Colors of the Wind", and even "Heigh-Ho", but we all know that "Kanine Krunchies" is more superior.

You're both wrong. "Kanine Krunchies" doesn't hold a candle to "Abu Is A Great Pet"!

(and if you know what I'm talking about, then you're post-condom boards oldschool UD!)

You fooled me. I was rereading the other posts in this thread to refresh my memory, and when I read that "Kanine Krunchies" was going to be in the game, I sort of freaked out. But then I read the small print.

The small print always rains on our parades, doesn't it...

Occassionally I can read the small print, but more often than not, I copy/paste it into the address bar (where you type in the URL) to read it.
