Well, I just saw it and all I have to say was: WOW!
It was SO cute! A real must see, can't wait for the sequel.
Tinkerbell is really funny and cute in this, and you see how she's born!
A favourite part of mine was the cameo made by (young!) Wendy.
At first I didn't know she was it, but then her mother called something as: ''What is it Wendy, darling?'' and then I realised!
Also, now we know the girl in the trailer is, in fact, Wendy.
But what I found strange is that almost everything from the Peter Pan PE sneak peak isn't in the movie!
So, If you get the chance to buy this movie, buy it!

TinkerBell sweepstakes:
http://disney.eprize.net/movierewardsiw ... F2B7D61%7d
It's very similar to the Enchanted sweepstakes (Like the grand prize and the DS game with a DS,DS game without a DS and bouquet) only with better prizes and ALL of them are TinkerBell/Fairies prizes (Unlike the Enchanted and Ariel's Beginning sweepstakes).

i really wanted to hate this movie, but it was quite enjoyable. it's nothing at all like peter pan's neverland or peter pan's tinkerbell. her personality is completely different, but it works well. i forgot thru most of the movie that tinkerbell and peter pan were even connected, there are of course references here and there that remind you, but for the most part, the only similarities are tink's design.
Wendy even looks different... and not just because she's CG. i look forward to the next 3 films now, definitely worth a viewing if you get the chance !

Hopefully by the last film, they'll establish why Tinkerbell leaves Fairy Hollows (or whatever they called it) and joins up with Peter Pan. Although I could see traits of the quickly ill-tempered Tink from the 50's classic, it seems as though by the end of the series she'll become a better person, rather than the jealous, easily betraying, almost murderous fairy she is when she goes back to London.
I wonder how Disney/Lasseter is gonna stay true to the classic here.

The books take place after the film-After Wendy left Neverland and came back to London,Tink is still angry on Peter so she came back to Pixie Hollow which is where she used to live before she met Peter so I guess that the films are prequels to Peter Pan,I wonder if she forgives him but still rather live in Pixie Hollow.
Does Reni and the other Fairies from the books are in the film? (I know that Vidia is in the film and that the Fairies from the film are in the books thought).

Ow! I didn't know the books were sequels to the original PP movie!Ariel'sprince wrote:The books take place after the film-After Wendy left Neverland and came back to London,Tink is still angry on Peter so she came back to Pixie Hollow which is where she used to live before she met Peter so I guess that the films are prequels to Peter Pan,I wonder if she forgives him but still rather live in Pixie Hollow.

That's interesting! But, you're right, the movies are prequels to PP, this movie even starts with Tink's birth (when a baby laughs for the first time etc.)
Tink's friends from the books are NOT in he film, they aren't even mentioned.
The only fairies from the books are Vidya, Queen Clarion and I believe Fairy Mary was also in the books.
But, on the website, it does mention Silvermist and Rani are best friends, and the other fairies are also friends of the book fairies, so, maybe they will be introduced later!

I really whould like to see Tink's birth (But I"ll see the film when I"ll buy it).supertalies wrote:Ow! They don't even mention them? then maybe they"ll be on the next films or they joined Pixie Hollow after Tink left Peter and came back to Pixie Hollow.
Yeah,I also noticed that about Rani and Silvermist, but some of the books are about the Fairies from the films (There's a book about Silvermist who meets a ladybug but after that becomes clumsy and think that she's cursed by the ladybug (Reminds me of the Giggles episode from The Little Mermaid series),there's a book Rosetta that the queen is having a banquet but Fawn doesn't want to come so she makes with Fawn a deal-Fawn will go,behave herself and wear a pretty dress and the next they"ll both do only things that Fawn wants to do but Rosetta doesn't know what wild day Fawn is planning and there's one about Fawn that she and Beck starts a practical joke war but they find out that someone turned everything in Fawn's house upside down and neither of them did that).

What I LOVE about Amazon.com:
I pre-ordered the Blu-ray for Tinkerbell on January 10, 2008 (over 9 months ago). When I placed the pre-order, the cost must have been over $25.00 because I got free shipping. With Amazon, the prices of the item fluctuates all the time - and with pre-orders you always get the lowest price between the time you placed your order and the time it ships. So, I'm getting it for $22.95 (it must have dipped that low), even though it's $23.95 right now - AND I'm still getting free shipping because when I placed the order it was over $25!!! Talk about a great policy!
I just pre-ordered Pinocchio for over $25, and I bet the SAME thing will happen there.
Happy customer here. I love Amazon.com. And, a portion of the sale bounces back to this site because I clicked on the link thru here.

I just got done stocking this title at the Disney Store I work at. I'm running out to wal-mart tonight at midnight to buy it though. It's just fun to hold it before release. Also, weird thing, we didn't get any blu-ray copies of it in our store. My manager said it was probably because no-one reordered it, i still thought it to be strange.
Another very small detail that bothers me and probably shouldn't... It comes in a white case. I hate white cases lol.

Well, I've watched it and I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a very cute film that was really easy to get drawn into. There were parts that got kind of boring, probably because i'm a 22 year old male and no matter how many times i'll tell myself otherwise this film was obviously aimed for a different demographic, but overall it's quiet enjoyable. I'm even kind of excited for the next film!
