"Hollywood Party" (1934) available in Germany on D

Post by gkittler »

I know it's not exactly a Disney DVD release, but Walt contributed a "Silly Symphony" Short called "Red Hot Chocolate Soldiers" for this MGM Movie from 1934 and featured the voice of Mickey Mouse, who has a cameo in this movie together with Jimmy Durante.

Short 205
The Hot Choc-late Soldiers
May 24, 1934
Mickey Mouse and Jimmy Durante lead into the color story of “The Hot Choc-late Soldiers” where a group of confectionary soldiers go to war against a neighboring cookie castle.

Color Silly Symphony-type sequence produced for the black-and-white MGM film, The Hollywood Party (1934).
Directed by Ben Sharpsteen.

Yeah it's uncut complete with the animated color sequence and the Mickey Mouse appearance. And it's in English.

Actually, I can confirm that The Hot Choc-Late Soldiers is in the movie and the segment with Mickey too. You could see some screenshots of the DVD on my website, here.
