Scartchy: Now you be a good a-boy Pinichio, and don't-a you lie!
Itchy: I promise I will never hurt you.
*Itchy's nose goes though Scratchy's eye*
Scratchy: Ouch!

No cover art complaints from me (logo background in red though doesn't work for me). Notice how the border on the blu-ray matches Sleeping Beauty's cover.

I'm more of a Scratchtasia man myself. Itchyochio had its pleasures, but Scratchtasia had the delightful "Night on Scalded Mountain" sequence.

It's been a few hours, and I still am not a fan of the art. Actually, maybe the layout. I was never a fan of the Platinum's floating heads in space, but I mean if they started doing it that way, they should really see it out. Even if thy just centered the title more...

(and knocked Jiminy Cricket off the spine!)

Well I think that's a pretty slim looking line up in all honesty, so there's certainly room for more to be added.

It appears none of the bonus features from the UK SE are being carried over (hardly surprising) not even the game (OK perhaps that is slightly surprising).

But fingers crossed more will be added, after all we didn't even know half of Sleeping Beauty's conetent til just a couple of months ago.

Think we might get a feature on how Ward Kimball bitched and threatened to quit his job after Snow White?

I really like the cover art! The colours are very reminiscent of some of the advertising artwork for the movie and the characters are on model!

Wow the cover is so lovely and has a delicate feeling... Not too crowded either, I can't wait to own this Platinum. As for the bonus features, I'm really lookin forward to "No Strings Attached:Making of Pinocchio", the fact track and the audio commentary. This set may seem light but to me, it's filled to the brim...

I actually don't hate the cover art. My only beef is that I thought the regular PE was Blu-Ray before I clicked on it. The Platinum Edition banner shouldn't be that color blue; it blends in too easily. Maybe the gold banner would do.

Except for the fact that the title isn't centered, I adore the cover art as well. The only thing I hope they change is maybe move Pinocchio more to the center of the cover, and the title banner beneath him. Other than that, I love the characters and layout they chose for the cover.

I can't wait to finally have this on DVD! It's one of my favorite Disney films, and the only copy I've ever had of it is one I taped off the Disney Channel years and years ago (when they actually used to show good Disney films. :p)

so here are my thoughts on the cover art: 1) Get rid of that ugly logo and use the awesome one on SB DVD trailer 2) Get rid of the 2 disc on the dvd platinum banner. 3) I really like everything else about the cover. I think its a nice little change from what we have been getting on platinums the past few years.

As for the features everything on there is great but there could be little more.

Video will be presented in 1080p AVC accompanied by a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. If I had to guess about it, the Blu-ray banner will ALWAYS be blue because it's "Blu"-ray.

No, he was talking about the banner at the top of the DVD, which in the past has always been either gold or silver. It should be the color of platinum every time, but platinum's a goldish silver anyway. But The Little Mermaid messed it all up by making the banner aqua that one time! Gold fits Pinocchio more than silver, I'd pick gold.

I love the actual art, but hate that they just re-did the old posters. I also hated that Sleeping Beauty's PE cover was just a re-do of the SE cover, too. I like completely new designs. But if they move the logo in the middle, and make it the same shape as the one in the trailer, I will probably love it.

OMG the APPLE is so big and lit and even has a sparkle it looks JUST LIKE SNOW WHITE'S PLATINUM COVER! TOO much! Get rid of it!!!!

In all honesty, I prefer the main character & the logo to be more centered on the cover art. I also say get rid of the apple and Pinocchio's eyes should be changed so that he's looking at us, like on the poster.
I think that a good composition for this cover would be one similar to Peter Pan's Platinum Edition, just replace Peter with Pinocchio (Obviously), put Jimminy somewhere near him and put a few other characters at the bottom.
I think the main thing I don't like about the cover so far is that cover art for Pinocchio should always be like a dark blue night, where the bottom of this one is daytime. I just don't think it works.
Oh, and I also agree that the banner on the DVD should be gold, not blue.
But like others have said, this is probably just a first draft and will probably be changed.

What an awful cover!!!! Pinocchio is posing very much like Snow White on the Snow White 2001 PE cover like Disney Duster said, the logo is ugly and the logo from the trailer from the Sleeping Beauty PE is much prettier, where's Cleo? why the Blue Fairy don't have colors? and the worst part-Everybody is smiling and happy and where's Jiminy? looks scared Monstro is about to eat him!!! why does he need to eat the best character from the film? and why Jiminy can't smile and be happy? why Monstro has to eat him? it's a bad cover and I hope that they"ll change it.
And about the features-There's no music video?.
