What 2 animated features would you love to see on Blu-Ray?

I'm suprised that Pocahontas hasn't been mentioned yet. The Lion King would also be spectacular. Bambi and Fantasia would probably be my picks though. Or maybe even Lady and the Tramp....
I just want them all the be restored for a wonderful Blu-ray release. I agree with those that said that all the films should be treated equally. They are all Animated Classics and that is what they should be called and released as.

Platinum edition films aside:
The Great Mouse Detective would look astounding in blu-ray, since it has so much detail in setting. I just worry on how they'd restore the film though, as the DVD has so much dirt and grain, yet at the same time, it adds to the atmosphere of the dark and dirty streets of London.
Make Mine Music, because a blu-ray release would finally give this film justice.

generally, id like to see all disney animated features finely conserved (not gimmicky restored) on blu ray but below r the ones with great animation that will stand out in detail in HD. i cant wait for them

I was thinking about special editions and so forth today...
Would anyone be opposed if disney released some of the DAC's in the treasures line. I feel like this would be a great opportunity for Disney to release special editions of some "not as popular" titles in a way where they wouldn't "waste" money on a big release but still satisfy fans. For example, a Black Cauldron Treasure release where it's restored and has a bonus disc covering it's interestingly long production stories from the creators and so forth. Another good set would be the package films.
And to bring this back on topic, I would like to see the Walt Disney Treasures line move into Blu-ray in this fasion.

Well, almost the same. In my version I had become the head of everything Disney and created lines parallel to the Platinum Edition line, yet became more successful
I think aside from the Platinum Edition line (which is going to take ages to go through all over again... *sob!*), I'd love to see Lilo & Stitch and The Rescuers Down Under on BD. Why the latter? I really like the adventurous story, actually. It's the only worthwhile Disney sequel ever produced. Plus, let's face it - the poor film needs an overhaul release on home video really badly...

Attention All UD Bluray fans
I'm thinking of making an online petition, so Disney can start to release non-platinum animated movies into Bluray, like the movies you wrote in this thread, it seems to me that now that the first animated disney movie got released on Bluray, I think Disney should start releasing other Disney animated movies on bluray in between the hyped platinum releases, but they are not and that pisses me off a lot.
All you guys have to do is just write your name on the online petition that I can easily make and write the movies that you want to see on Bluray, and I'll send it to Disneyvideos email, and you'd probably get an announcement of the release of the most requested Disney bluray in no time.
So are you guys in or out ?

Not to be "that guy" or anything but I think that petition is kind of pointless. You have to remember that Disney announces the PE's a year in advance whereas they announce the other DAC's a few months in advance. Right now, we don't have any announcements for any DAC's besides the PE's but I'm sure we'll be getting some soon, and I'm also sure that they will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray.
I would say give them some time to put together some blu-ray efficient material for a release. Afterall, Disney just released it's first Blu-ray title DAC last week.

I don't think a petition is going to help anything. No studio has done more to push the format than Disney.
The lack of titles is frustrating, yes. By this point in DVD's lifespan there was a LOT more content on the market. But a lot it was crap, qualitatively speaking. They simply can't get away with a Gold Collection-type BD line of releases because the format is an archival-quality solution for the home collector; any unrestored DAC released on BD would unleash the hounds of hell upon the studio because most BD consumers are in it for the quality of presentation, and (generally speaking) any restoration done before 2006 is unlikely to be good enough. I'd much rather they get it done right than get it done quickly.
There are other properties I'd be nearly as happy to see. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was teased for release in Australia and France for spring of this year but never materialized. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea would be a great candidate for hi-def presentation, but I'm afraid the market might not be there...after all, the 2-disc Special Edition is still available almost 4 1/2 years after release.
