I found this online and haven't seen it posted here yet, so I thought I'd start a thread for it:

That looks really good.

I have been a fan of Courtney Cox for years(since Friends) and Adam Sandler has always made me laugh.

Man, this looks like a fun movie! It also feels very Disney, despite it starring Adam Sandler.

I hope this movie is good. "Click" I thought was a very good movie. I missed "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" and I heard "Don't mess with the Zohan" was terrible.

This looks bad. But what was I thinking; Adam Sandler in a "Disney family comedy"? No, I won't pay to see this.

Bedtime Stories

Post by martinroyalsdisneyfan »

The trailer for the Adam Sandler movie "Bedtime Stories" recently came out and thought I could get everyone's opinions on it.

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, here's a link:

To be honest, the trailer didn't give me much. The storyline is somewhat appealing. Your thoughts?

Whoa...that was weird...you said it would be merged and then it really was....just like in this movie!

On the movie itself, I am unimpressed. Reminds me of Night at the Museum a bit.

Same here. Then again, it's probably my bias against Adam Sandler. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I hate his acting and as a result, movies that I might have been interested in seeing (based on the other actors and/or the story) are ruined because he's in it.

Just watched it. I love it. How could you not find that funny? When he didn't believe the flame-retardant spray didn't burn the Home Depot guy's eyes, so he sprayed it in his own? People were staring at me at work because I was laughing out loud.

This movie has been on my to-see-in-theaters list for a long time now, and the trailer looks better than I originally anticipated it to be.

I'll be there.

I too thought that was a funny moment. Humor in general is subjective, though, and its hard to argue that. So if people didn't find it funny they didn't find it funny.

However, I do agree that the movie looks to be very fun, sweet and charming, a "feel good" movie, and Adam Looks to like he'll be really good in this one. Lord knows, the teaser holds far more promise than the teaser to "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" ;)

Good god, there is someone else who agrees with me that Adam Sandler isn't a comedic genius. Granted, I love his Hanukkah song. I could listen to that till the day I die, so cute and funny. But most of the movies he's been in, I just can't stand him in them. Not all, but most. He does seem like a nice guy and all, but his humor isn't my cup of tea.

I personally enjoy Adam Sandler, but I have to agree that his humor isn't the best. I noticed that his humor can be described like this:
- Normal, average guy
- Gets thrown into unusual situation (Gets sent back to school, becomes a millionaire, suddenly becomes a father, goes back and forth in time).
- He handles it by either shouting like crazy or acting like a stone head

Still, I enjoyed "Click" (perhaps more than some people actually did). I thought "Rain of me" was alright, I heard "Zohan" sucked and like I mentioned earlier, this looks like a really fun movie, perhaps his best.

The Home Depot guy was too funny! What did you think of the part when Sandler is driving around and those songs about fire and burning come one??
I love that part.

The cast is probably the main draw for me. I love the idea of Courteney Cox, Keri Russell AND Adam Sandler together- i think it make for a strong mix of comedy and drama.
