Um... They are Disney Princesses, and why/what did/do you mean by Princess,or Princess, not princess. Are you not just saying the same word three times?

I think what he meant by capitalizing the P in Princess is that Eilonwy and Kida aren't in the Disney Princess collection. But they should be, hence why they are underrated. Or maybe they shouldn't be...I mean, I do enjoy the princess collection, but it's like they're the cool unknown ones, and you have to be cool to like them. Not that you're not cool if you like the other princesses...heck, I love Jasmine more then Eilonwy. But, yeah, that's what I think he meant.

Glad I'll still be able to see the show. We're leaving for WDW on Monday morning and I can hardly wait.

Well, it's sadly now all over. Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends gave their final performance on Saturday, September 27, at 5 PM to a packed audience. Everyone in attendence was given a special memento of the occasion, and the show featured more animals then usual. The final show was preceded by a brief introduction by the show's director/creator.

At least it went out with a bang instead of a whimper, and in a very classy way...
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag"- Mary Poppins
"How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know"- Pocahontas
"I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us, whether he be six or sixty. Call the child innocence." - Walt Disney

Sounds cool! What ws the memento that was handed out? What did the show director have to say?

I always thought that this was a fun show. The actress was very talented singer and the animals in the show were very well trained. Its always sad to see something unique end at WDW and unfortunately it seems to be happening more and more lately.

The souvenir memento was a button which has a picture of Pocahontas, Meeko, and Flit and says "Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends - 1998-2008". This was said to be given exclusively to those in attendance at the final performance.

The last show at 5 PM was unpublished in the times guide and originally going to be just for cast, crew, entertainment personel, and Disney cast members, but it was ultimately decided to let anyone in who wanted to see it, as word had spread throughout the day about this show time. So about half the seating space was available for park guests and after the final 4:30 PM Lion King show let out, it filled easily. But of course I got there much earlier than that to make sure I got in and got a good seat!

The director thanked everyone who worked on the show and also singled out the show's fans who kept the show going for ten years and those who managed to "listen to their heart" and find their way into the final performance.

Also, earlier in the day, the "Dream Squad" had created a giant posterboard card which guests were allowed to sign and leave messages with markers in thanks to cast and crew for their work on the show, and this was presented to the cast/crew at some point between the end of the 3:40 PM show and the time the public were let in to the 5 PM show.

Also, the final 12:55 PM training session was PACKED and gave the trainers the opportunity to say goodbye and thanks to the fans as well.
