Here are my infamous duo of cats: Garfield and Sirita

This is Garfield. One night while my nephew and niece were out in the town they found an orange kitten playing in the streets. They decided to rescue him and bring him home. Originally, we were going to give him away because we weren't big cat people. But then the little guy grew on us. By the time he became an adult we couldn't part with him.

This is Sirita when she was a kitten, on the night that she was rescued. My dad and nephew were out when they spotted a kitten crying atop of a high roof. They asked a man for help, so he climbed to the roof and brought her down. Like Garfield before her we didn't have the heart to throw her away, especially since when we rescued her she was dirty and underfed. We figured that she would make a great play mate for Garfield and thus kept her.

I had somehow missed it when you posted those pictures, pap64- they're adorable!
I hope this works for everyone! As you may have read in the Pet Discussion thread, we adopted a hound mix named Oliver on Wednesday. Here's the link to my Facebook Doggies photo album. I have a bunch of pictures on my phone that I took yesterday, so once Bobby takes them off for me, I'll post them, there, too; I'll probably have to make a new album there, since 60 pictures is the limit!

Aww, thank you!!!Anne wrote:Oliver is beautiful and he looks like such a nice dog!
How do you like it having three dogs in the house? You must never be bored!!!
And Oliver hasn't barked at all...I told my dad this, and he said that it's possible that his previous owners had his vocal chords removed.
lol, Harry definitely has puppy dog eyes! I'm glad that they finally answered the phone so I could go and get him! I think that I was at the point that I would've gone down had they not answered the phone...When I was at the front desk, filling out paperwork [reminds me of Roz from Monsters, Inc., lol], there was a lady who came in with her 2 small children, and she asked about Oliver, but luckily I had already claimed him. She also asked about another dog...I'm all for people adopting rescue dogs, but I wonder if she would've kept asking about each dog...I was so glad that I had gotten there when I did. And, since I'm a volunteer, I got to get Oliver out of his cage myself and spend alone time with him, which was great.Jack Skellington wrote:Amy, Harry's got those stereotypical puppy eyes, that makes my knees go weak.I never saw your dogs before. It's nice to see that Oliver is exploring his new home, I'm just so happy that you went there and got him like I told you to.

Well this is my cat, she used to be a stray a year ago, but I take care of her now :
<a href="http://s231.photobucket.com/albums/ee23 ... G_0109.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee23 ... G_0109.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
She has an awkward "kitten-phobia" ( which is one of the funniest things about her !
Her hair stands whenever she sees any of them. )
She doesn't have a name. (Except "pss pss pss", which is the default name I use for every cat I see to catch it's attention.

She's adorable!!! So, she doesn't live with you, you just put food out for her and whatnot? That's what a couple people on our street do, too.
As for my previous post mentioning Oliver not barking, he has howled and barked, but has only done so a handful of times, and will only do so at the far end of our yard, generally at night (if we let him out at night). So, at least he has his vocal chords! He was either trained or threatened (or worse), I guess, to not bark indoors, and not bark most of the time.

Thanks guys !
Amy, she does get into my house (kitchen mostly) sometimes, but yeah she spends most of her time laying outside on the porch. The one thing that I still can't figure out, is a name for her. (I'm open to suggestions ppl
)
It's sad that they used to reprimand Oliver for barking, that's basically what dogs do, I'm happy to see that he's not a mute.
