Every Amazon-Shop ships worldwide.PrincePhillipFan wrote:I'm torn. The box for the DVD in the UK looks amazing, and I'm really excited that they're including a book along with it, but I don't know if I want to justify that price just for that. Does anyone know if they will ship stuff from amazon.uk to the states?
UK-Edition from amazon.co.uk: £22,07 ~ $38,66 (excluding shipping rates to the US = £17,99)

I don't think PS3's are region free, but there are Region Free Blu-ray's. If the title is region free (or the same region) you should have no problem playing it in your PS3.yukitora wrote:Btw, are PS3's completely and utterly region free?
I keep getting contrasting answersblu-ray discs are SO much cheaper in the US. It'll be a lot easier if I could simply import them from amazon.com or something and be able to play it on my aussie PS3. I'm not quite willing to pay $50AUD for the Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray yet...
As far as the Blu-ray goes. Is the DVD copy that's included the same as Disc 1 from the DVD set? I don't have Blu-ray yet, but I'm going to pickup a PS3 before the end of the year. I figure since the Blu-ray has a copy of the movie on DVD it might be better to just get the Blu-ray version.
The boxset is indeed beautiful; but again Disney is befuddling us all by only releasing these sets in certain areas of the world. Is it because they sell better in certain areas ? Who knows ....
But doesnt this movie have one of the longest subtitles ever:
Disney's Sleeping Beauty ~ 50th Anniversary Collector's Platinum Edition 2 Disc DVD And Book Set
Also, what does bug me about the recent 2 Disc Special Editions over here in R2, is that they have been renamed 'Platinum Editions' since The Jungle Book. This makes them kinda inconsistant when they are put together with my older platinum edition equivilants. Why have Disney decided to change the titles of the special editions over here now ? I think it might have something to do with the Platinum cycle starting all over again. Disney can now say, for R2, "Beauty and the Beast ... for the first time ever on 2 disc Platinum DVD and bluray. Whats the betting they will do that ?

I was surprised at the revelation that the score was actually recorded in Germany because they had the best sound studio at the time! Shows how dedicated they were to presentation!

This has also already been posted, although the "golden band" seems to have moved to its side, which makes a lot more sense and just looks a lot better!
I think its funny how they mention the instrumental tracks as " your favourites" instead of the usual "I wonder" and "Once upon a Dream"
edit: heres the full version of Emily Osment's Once Upon a Dream. Ehhh, I don't like the second verse where she messes with the original lyrics, but still good!

Now, do I buy the Blu-ray version or DVD. I am so confused! I do not know when I will get my blu-ray player and I want to watch the DVD now with all the features. I do not want to waste my money buying both DVD and Blu-ray. SOOOOO confused!
But the Blu-Ray includes a DVD with the movie and some extras for all the people who doesn't own a Blu-Ray player, yet.

PS3 games are region free. PS2 games (if your PS3 has Backwards Compatibility) are not. Blu-ray is not. DVD is not. You can play Japanese Blu-ray discs on a US PS3 because Japan and the US are the same Blu-ray region (region A) However, unlike DVD, its fair to say the majority of Blu-ray discs are also region free (except FOX! Grrr and Disney which have little logic about which releases they choose to lock or not))GoofyGoofyGoofy wrote:PS3s are completely region-free. For example, a PS3 bought in the US can play Japanese games (and that includes Blu-ray of course).DarthPrime wrote: I don't think PS3's are region free
