Instead, they probably have a warehouse full of dvd's that were already packaged without codes from before it was decided that they would be included in the program. It would be impractical to include codes in these older titles.
Not all of them, and I made a point of that. I said I understand about those older titles, but ones like Fox and the Hound 2 and Eight Below should not have been missing codes, or even the Apple Dumpling Gang double-feature.

I just read on another message board that some people are having Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds codes that begin with RV4 & RV3 rejected. Anyone here who bought it (the dvd not the blu ray) try their DMR code & if so did it work?
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

I used a code for the Hannah Montana DVD today and it worked fine. I got my 125 points, and now I have 5800. Still don't know what to buy though?

You are one of the lucky ones. I'm reading on a couple of message boards of a few (like you) getting them accepted but a massive amount of codes not working. No problem with the blu rays or any of the Camp Rocks.

As for your 5,800 points, I'd keep saving & that Mulan/Khan sculpture for 11,000 looks awesome. It's a $399 WDCC piece. I have the Toy Story 2 Jesse/Lightning w/record player base which I could also highly recommend. It also goes for 11,500 so if you decide to go for either of these you've got a ways to go (but the program runs plenty long enough for you to be able to do it).

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to just keep saving until I see something I really want. I've managed to collect this many points in about 2 years, and the program is slated to go through 2010, though it will probably be extended. I think I just want to save up to get one big prize.

Disney Movie Rewards Bonus Points: Receipts?

Post by TonyWDA »

Disney Movie Rewards has got a nifty little feature where I can take the proof-of-purchase tabs off of the eligible DVDs that are listed, and earn up to 100 points for each one.

But when I got to the page for printing the sheet that goes attached to the tab, I noticed the instructions stated I had to attach a "Disney receipt" for the DVD as well.

Excuse me if this sounds like a stupid question, but do they seriously mean receipts as in when you buy the DVD in a store? I find that extremely hard to believe - I can't give out any pin information or anything like that. Plus I've had these movies for a long time. You'd think at SOME point, I'd lose the thing.

So what do they mean by Disney Reciept? The form I attach the tab to?

Any good answer is greatly appreciated. I've never done this before, and would love to know what I'm doing, LOL. :)

You only can get these points if you purchased them starting I think sometime back in March of 2008 and they do require the receipt. This does suck for those of us who already have them but I guess the point of the promotion is to get people to buy them so why would they reward those who have bought everyone as they came out for about twice the cost most of those go for now.

Oh! Okay. Thanks for clearing that. :) And yes, it does suck. :( I had enough movies to come up with more than 1600 points. :(

The Collector's Edition is worthy of double points right now, so entering a code will earn you 250 points.

The DMR website has been update today with a number of things.

Gone is the National Treasure 2 sweepstakes. This was replaced by a new contest, Sleeping Beauty Royal Sweepstakes . I won 4th prize on the NT2 contest but I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail. The Little Mermaid III and Hannah Montana sweepstakes are still up.

A number of rewards have been reduced in points. For a limited time some rewards were reduced by 25%, 35%, and 50%.

Some new rewards were added

If you enter codes for the following three by October 7:
101 Dalmations (live action)
102 Dalmations
101 Dalmations: Patch's London Adventure

you get 200 extra bonus points.

Edited to add: I just played the Sleeping Beauty sweepstakes, didn't win anything, :( ...but you can play it once daily and the grand prize is a night in the Dream Suite in Disneyland (the former gallery above Pirates) as part of a four day trip to Disneyland. So, I'll be playing this everyday. :D

Do the points ever expire? I used to have some, but they are gone now (could it be that I haven't entered any codes recently)? I didn't have much anyways, 10 at the most (I'd probably have more if Disney didn't require receipts).

The Zorro dvd set is missing from the rewards list. I could scream! It's what I've been saving for, and I was only 75 points away from being able to get it.

I noticed that too, and they didn't add any DVDs to replace it.

I found Dr. Finklestein in the Disney Classics section. I was looking in that section for new DVDs and found him there. Someone's gonna have to usher him to the Nightmare Before Christmas section where he belongs. I don't think he was lost. I think he purposefully parked himself in that section.

According to the DMR's terms and conditions, if you don't log into your account for 270 days or more, you lose the points in your bank.

DMR's FAQ states that codes can be entered for points till January 31, 2010 and points can be redeemed till February 28, 2010. Wow, this progam will a little over 3 years old by then!

The sweepstakes are a good incentive to log in everyday. So far I have won three prizes :D :
Jungle Book sweepstakes: a virtual snowglobe
National Treasure 2 sweepstakes: the Mount Rushmore Freemasons medallion
Little Mermaid III sweepstakes: an enchanted call

I'm happy to report that the Zorro dvd set has returned to the rewards list.

Disney Movie Rewards

Post by Mouseketodd »

Yellowstone Cubs is no longer available. I don't know if this is a permanent removal or not. This was the last remaining DVD on my wish list.

I did receive an email announcing a Fall special, with selected rewards available for a limited time for reduced points. You'll find pull-down menus for items at 25%, 35%, and 50% off.

Does anyone know what the deal is with which DVDs get chosen to go on Disney Movie Rewards? I'd love to have the So Dear To My Heart DVD recently available on the Disney Movie Club. I have a strong feeling it won't make the jump from DMC to DMR, however. No, I'm not joining DMC just to get it!!

(I asked this on the Disney Movie Club forum a couple of weeks ago, but nobody's answered yet.)[/i]

I won a second instant win prize. This time it was in the Sleeping Beauty contest. Of course it was another friggin Enchanted Call. Of course with 10,110 prizes & 10,000 are Enchanted Calls the odds are that that's what you're going to win. I still haven't used the other enchanted call & it expires Sept. 30th.
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.
