By format, do you mean H.264, MPEG-2 or VC-1?DisneyLover27 wrote:hey does anyone know what video format that pixar short films for blu-ray is?
I'd hope H.264, but I'm not sure as I don't have the disc. MPEG-2 should never have been used on Blu-Ray, and all the early releases that did use that format shouldn't be purchased.

I just bought the DVD... and it looks great. I have no intention of getting the Blu-Ray.
What's so bad about MPEG2? When done properly it can look amazing! Look at movies like Terminator 2 (the new Artisan collector's edition), where it was a dual-layer disc and taken from a 1080p source... it looks just great in my computer. I'm betting that the Blu-Ray (if there is one) isn't much better.

Howard Ashman:

Arabian Nights (Unedited)
Savages (Uncensored)
If it ain't OTV, it ain't worth anything!

I'd assume that the Blu varies in the same manner.Luke In his Ultimate Disney DVD Review wrote: Although styles and formats vary (from two-channel stereo to full 5.1, from fullscreen to 2.39:1 widescreen), there's nary a flaw in picture or sound, which are uniformly outstanding and a feast for each applicable sense. All widescreen shorts are enhanced for 16x9 displays.
