We don't even have a Target here in Hawaii.Atlantis wrote:Well if you buy tv dvds, you miss out on a lot...like Target gets a lot of collector edition tv dvds.Vermin Friends wrote: Walmart. And all this time I've been trusting them and they let me down like this. I'm really sorry for letting you all down. I really was going to take a picture of it as soon as I got it, but well, it wasn't there.

I'd love to see it, anyway. I just want to see the layout- I'll be able to make out the rest.daydreamer22010 wrote:ok i took a picture of the insert with my crappy phone..... and its not that great quality
but if anyone wants to see it regardless, i will post it. But i gave you fair warning, its not a great quality picture...![]()

I really like the logo, but the coverart is horrible. I think they should make it like this:
The new red logo at top, with Morgona and her sidekick hovering over it, glaring down at Ariel and Melody as they are sitting on the "Part of Your World" rock, with Eric and Triton on either side. Flounder and Sebastian could be coordinated into the logo.

Thank you so much (both of you) for posting the image. The logo is beautiful but the cover is terrible. I love your idea Peterpanfan. I'm going to try and tinker with this in photoshop to see if I could make something better. I've always hated that clip art image of Ariel. The one thing I do like, besides the logo, is the image of Melody.
Fully story I actually bought Ariel's Beginning at 3 different places hoping to find this insert, and not one of the DVD's had it. I should of went to best Buy, lol

wow horrible cover, that image of Ariel has been around since the original was released in 89'! The least they could have done was come up with drawings of new them...conisdereing that cover art has already been done.
The cover art from the first release was pretty good.

You're welcome. I'm going to attempt your idea, with this logo in photoshop, lol. I agree, you can't just stick a random clip art of Ariel as a teenager on the cover. In this film she is older and more mature, here she looks the same age as her daughter.PeterPanfan wrote:Thank you, Mike!
I also think Ariel looks as young, if not YOUNGER than Melody. Which uis just totally wrong.

The artwork is going to be revised many-a-time before it actually gets released, like every other cover we've come by.
This almost the same cover as the double release of TLM+II in Australia, save for the logo. Which made sense for that release as Ariel was supposed to be the 16 year old girl in HER movie, next to Melody as 12 year old in HER film. I don't think it's been edited to reflect that she's aged yet, and that it definitely will be.
Notice how the logo is awkwardly placed over the pedestal - tell tale signs of a some quick photoshop job.

Thanks so much for the time you took to do this for us, daydreamer22010 and disneystarsfan!
Like many others, I really like the new logo (in fact, I LOVE it- the red is beautiful) but I'm pretty sure that this is nowhere near the final coverart, since it is obviously just the same as the other two-pack release.
I, like Disney Villain will also be attempting to work something out but with my own sketches. I've been planning this baby since trilogy pack collector's edition was put out in public!
Thanks again, you two!

Thank you so much! Wow, I'm honored you thought it was Disney. Thank you!ToyStoryFan wrote:Disney Villian that is a GREAT cover!
I actually was just scrolling through, saw that, and thought it was the official cover. I was like, "wow, that's an awesome cover! Finally they are releasing some good artwork!" Hopefully the real cover will be just as good!
GREAT job!
Thank you too Ariel'sPrince for the compliment.
Vermin Friends, I can't wait to see the cover you come up with. The covers you posted in the "Create Your Own Cover Art" thread were stunning!
