Interacting with Disney Characters

Post by pap64 »

This is something I've been pondering about for a while.

The Disney theme parks are known for their experiences involving the Disney characters. Meeting a certain character can make a person's trip the best one ever.

So for those that have gone to the parks I ask you. When you go meet a character what do you do? Do you just politely ask for a picture and autograph? Do you play along with whatever they say or do or do you politely say hi and back away?

I ask this because I've seen videos of some Disney characters (mainly the villains and funny sidekicks) and they go all out with their performances, to the point where you are part of their act.

It sounds A LOT of fun to interact with them, but at the same time I would feel weird and wouldn't know what to do.

On a related note, what's the worst type of character interaction you have experienced at the parks? It can be either a rude character or a rude guest, the key here is that the interaction is awkward. Think of the Tigger fiasco ;) .
