It's from CDcover.cc,isn't that?.
And what I don't is...
(Spoilers):
How Marina found the club? they didn't gave any reasons.
Ariel's Sisters were better then the way they showed in the series,in the series they were shown in a bad light (Exept maybe Alana) and they showed them like they only care about make up,here they were alright thought Attina was bossy and annyoing and I guess after Triton was angry at them in the throne room they just followed Attina.
Triton was really selfish in this movie and again he thinks he's a god and his word is a law like in the original ("Know him? I don't need to know him, they"re all the same").
And maybe those pirates didn't meant to hurt the merpeople? they only "attacked" when everyone was already underwater and they didn't attacked Athena thought they crushed her.
And Athena was just... couldn't she just throw that music box into the water and jump insted of gasping and looking on the ship? she had time to do that and the music box wasn't more importent then her life.
And I still don't understand what the teaser on The Little Mermaid PE meant, notice how everything change since the old information from the Princess DVD Game World

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
Vermin Friends, it's not very nice of you to ignore when I pointed out why the original movie doesn't prove Ursula was banished before Ariel was born. I was talking to you. Please go back and look at why, and comment. I know you think I'm not very nice, but I'm just telling people how it is, I'm not trying to be mean to you. If this movie's not what we deserve, I'm going to say something.
Well Old Fish Tale, I read both Jodi interviews that you posted last. Thanks for caring about my opinion!
Well, the only thing good the told me was Jodi wanted Ariel to be the same Ariel she is in the original. Well, she is in "heart", personality, and voice, but not the rest. She still is treating music differently than she did in the original film, and her land love isn't present at all.
She said that the creators, Peggy and the rest, really came up with everything before they even approached Jodi. They already came up with the very lame Marina, and Jodi only liked her because she didn't want anything too scary for the kids. You hear that? While the original wasn't like that, Jodi thinks this movie is great for 3-10 year olds, not the teenagers who fell in love with teenage Ariel.
I'm not pissed just because Marina's so lame, but more because she's not related to Ursula. She in the original and the sequel, but nowhere mentioned in the prequel. For those who think Ursula's villainy would make Ariel too strong to be the same in the original, or know Ursula's too evil to take her deal, Ursula wouldn't have to be as evil as she was in the first one, obviously she would be tamer or King Triton would have killed her. Like me and Siren's stories, she would me more secretly evil, though still a villain they have to go against, and a much better one than Marina. We need to know the rest of Ariel's story, Ursula, Ariel's love of humans, and maybe Eric. Athena and Triton was only part of it, and we don't even see where Triton would first freak out that Ariel went near humans, who killed his wife. This movie only touches on half, maybe a third of what it should.

Or perhaps Jodi knows what age group the bulk of her fan letters is written by?Disney Duster wrote:You hear that? While the original wasn't like that, Jodi thinks this movie is great for 3-10 year olds, not the teenagers who fell in love with teenage Ariel.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
I really agree with you about that,I love Jodi and her voice but I really disagree with her thinking that only 3-10 years old kids likes Little Mermaid,Little Mermaid is for everyone and so is this prequel, she shouldn't say that and thought I like Marina I also don't like that she said she likes Marina just because she won't scare small kids.Disney Duster wrote:Jodi thinks this movie is great for 3-10 year olds, not the teenagers who fell in love with teenage Ariel.
Or maybe she still shouldn't think it's a movie only for that age? just because she sometimes may get fan letters from 5 years olds doesn't mean that they"re the only one who likes Ariel.Or perhaps Jodi knows what age group the bulk of her fan letters is written by?

Perhaps Vermin Friends avoided replying because, at this point, you're just battling opinions. You've said nothing I agree with, so I can certainly see why he (or she) avoided responding. If this movie's not what we deserve, I'm going to say something.
And I'm sick and tired of hearing people complain about Ursula not being in this. Sure, AB could've been this and it could've been that, but the fact is it wasn't. Judge it for what it is and don't hold it under the lens of some non-existent story, that would supposedly have been great, you've created in your minds.

Listening to most often lately:

Okay, I've watched the film a second time (all while capping it as well), and I'm wondering:
How can it be possible for Ariel to be 15 in TLM:AB when she has so many adventures in the TV series? (or have we already confirmed that this is separate from the series altogether?)
(The age comes from the interview with Jodi Benson - thanks, Old Fish Tale!)
No offense, but I thought that Ariel looked more like she was about three or four in the first five minutes of the film, which would make her 13-14 and more likely to enter that rebellious teenage stage that would set things up for the TV series as well as the original film . . . (SPOILER: I think Marina and Triton talk about Ariel's sudden outbursts and attitude near the middle of the film - am I right?) So that would make better sense . . . (unlike the misunderstandings from TLM2 in which Melody is considered a teen at age 12 . . . stoopid Disney, make up your mind! Gah.)

Its not as if the ship blew up. There shouldve been a body. And even if there wasnt, having a burial site for her would be normal. And since they already said that she died at the beginning, it wouldnt have been any darker for Triton to visit her burial site, shed a tear and talk about how he misses her.Ariel'sprince wrote:That's too dark, and besides:
(Spoilers):
You saw the teaser, there was no body, she and the pirates died together.
While they most likely dont see the series as part of the film universe, the movie took place over what? acouple of days? Since there are 365 days in a year there is plenty time for the movie to happen and the series to start up a month or so after it, all having Ariel be 15.Juuchan17 wrote:Okay, I've watched the film a second time (all while capping it as well), and I'm wondering:

So, I just watched this last night and I have to say that overall, I thought it was an ok movie. Definitely not what I would have done, but it was alright for what it was.
I'm sure once I watch it again, I'll enjoy it a little more.
My favorite thing about it was definitely Ariel and her Sisters, and the song "I Remember"

hmm.. yeah I was dissapointed there was no soundtrack to this movie.. maybe it could be a really late re-relase dunno..
..
and man, sure is expenisve renting movies these days.. Blockbuster charges $5.00 to rent movies now.. you get it for five days but still..
slightly O.T .. Pap64, after looking at your avatar.I forgotten how blue the skies in Aladdin are..
okie Spoilers now..
.. hmmm.. I just realized that in all 3 movies that something is tempororialy banished from the movie.. no music, no going to the surface.. no going to the sea..hmm
I'm glad Athena's not an exact clone of Ariel.. didn't realize that Athena's hair color is slightly different till yesterday..
oh yeah, is Attina to take over Triton's job when he passes on? I wondered about that..
I liked Benjamin more if he was mute.. but oh well..
I wonder if something traumatic could've happened to Flounder (maybe loss of family or family member) that made him in the guppy-fish of the 1st movie..
for some reason Triton sounds older than younger in this movie.. I know Cummings is voicing him but still..
I agree that Athena trying to save the box was lame.. for one thing Triton wasn't dead and also there's this huge statue of the two of them.. He could've just as easily gotten her another one..
oh and Ariel being knocked out by the Marina "missle" was ultra-lame..
the sisters were fun though..
more later..

Well, at least we know where she got that leader-like personality from . . .Atlantis wrote:And Attina is next in line to take over the kingdom so she probably will whenever Triton passes on. Not like Ariel will be able to get the kingdom. Thats a definate.
But I grew to like her in AB. Despite being the oldest, the more serious sister, and the guardian that keeps her younger sisters under control and all, Attina was able to have a little fun and show a new side to being a mermaid princess.
Hopefully, she'll remember this when she takes Triton's throne. (but yeah, I was slow to realize that the first-born is always the next in line . . . gah.)
