Isaac Hayes is dead

Post by DarthPrime »

A family member found Hayes unresponsive near a treadmill and he was pronounced dead about an hour later at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, according to the sheriff's office. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Isaac Hayes (Shaft & Chef) dead at 65

Post by buffalobill »

No cause of death known yet. He was a multitalented individual. Great singer, loved him in Escape From NY, voice of Chef in South Park. With him & Bernie Mac I wonder who #3 will be? RIP Isaac

I have a few Isaac Hayes albums:

1. "Hot Buttered Soul" (LP)
2. "Isaac Hayes Movement" (LP)
3. "Shaft" (CD)
4. "...To Be Continued" (LP)
5. "Live at Sierra Tahoe" (LP)

I also have the cookbook called "Cooking With Heart & Soul" featuring all of his recipes that Isaac Hayes made. I also do remember hearing his own morning show on WRKS "Kiss-FM" on 98.7 where Isaac Hayes hosted "Isaac Hayes & Friends". I listened to it a little bit, but it's not that bad. I guess we will missed him very much. RIP. :(

Wow. First Bernie Mac, now Isaac Hayes. May they both rest in peace.

Well, let's not forget we lost Estelle Getty just a few weeks ago.

Estelle Getty? She sounds familiar...

As forn Isaac Hayes what I find ironic about this death is that when he quit South Park Matt and Trey killed Chef in the most brutal and disgusting way possible. While they have killed off characters in grand ways before, they way they killed him made it look like they were very angry with him.

Yet, they were mature to say that even if they split because of personal beliefs to love and respect him for who he was; a great man with a wonderful talent for music.

So now with Isaac Hayes dead after his character died a year ago I wonder how they feel...

They also say they loved and missed Chef. What pissed Matt & Trey off is that Isaac was fine making fun of anyone or anything else but he decided to quit when they made fun of Scientology. What probably even made it worse was that it probably wasn't even his decision to quit, it was most likely his Scientology leaders making him do it.

Yup.
Kyle Broflovski wrote:We're all here today because Chef has been such an important part of our lives. A lot of us don't agree with the choices Chef has made in the past few days. Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can't let the events of the last week take away the memories of how much Chef made us smile. I'm gonna remember Chef as the jolly old guy who always broke into song. I'm gonna remember Chef as the guy who gave us advice to live by. So you see, we shouldn't be mad at Chef for leaving us. We should be mad at that little fruity club for scrambling his brains.
That sums up how they felt about Isaac.

But no matter what anybody did or did not think RIP, Isaac.

Matt & Trey have added this classy little banner to the South Park site.
