Brand New DVDs Missing a Disc?
I was thinking about this the other day. A few weeks ago I went to Target and I purchased "Rush Hour" on DVD. I got home, opened it up and tore that annoying white tape at the top of the case off, only to discover there was no disc inside! I went back to Target and got a full refund. But this made me think, how often does stuff like this happen? It's not like it was used or anything, it was brand new and shrinkwrapped and had the security tape and everything!

A while back, I ordered a copy of the Supergirl Limited Edition, with 2 discs (Theatrical cut and either Director's cut or International, I can't remember.) When I got it and opened it up, it was missing one disc. Deep Discount gladly replaced it for me.
A machine might jam at a pressing plant, and the quality control person might have glanced away at an inopportune time.
Stuff like this is rare, but does happen.

This actually Happened to me twice...Both with Disney DVDs.......
The first time was with a Fantasia Anthology...we got down the road and Fantasia 2000 disc was missing...it was sealed and everything.......so we went to a differ wal-mart but they said I had to take it back to the original wal-mart...so we did and luckily they had another one so they did an even exchange and all the discs were in that one....
Then a couple months later...
I bought a DVD 2 pack at a differ wal-mart I think it was The Jungle Book (live action) and Jungle 2 Jungle starring Tim Allen.....one of the discs were missing as we were driving away from the wal-mart.....so we brought it back in and this was before there was a Supercenter Wal-Mart... anyway one particular employee was very rude and acted like I was the class act criminal of the year....She said the edges of the box looked worn and not like just new and we told her that security tape is hard to get off so I went back to the car and grabbed the bag with the reciept and I gathered up all the security tape that we had just took off the dvds....only then was she convinced that we were telling to the truth....
So yes while rare...it does happen.....Which I remember telling Roy E Disney when I met him on my Make a wish trip....that story and never again have I had that problem.......

Wow Disneyboy, I know I won't be buying any more DVDs from Wal-Mart! (haha, just kidding). And I know what you mean about how they treated you like a criminal. When I returned Rush Hour at Target, they had to go in the back and check the security tape
. I was surprised that they gave me a refund though. But that was only because they didn't have another copy.
