Was there ever a soundtrack to this movie?
I know Lavender Blue was released on Cd but were any other songs?

To my knowledge, there was never a soundtrack LP for "So Dear to My Heart," but there was an original cast album (78s on Capitol) at the time of the original release, and a Disneyland Records storyteller with Camarata re-recordings of the songs in the early 60's, as well as a 60's era Disneyland Burl Ives re-recording of "Lavender Blue" (reissued on several Disney CDs).

But there are also some great cover/single versions on CD. The original Burl Ives hit single of "Lavender Blue" is available on several Ives collections and a nice version of the title tune by Peggy Lee can be found in her "Capitol Singles" box set. I believe both of those are on iTunes.

"Lavender Blue" was included on the Classic Disney Volume 5 (1998) CD.

So it looks like I will have to do some ripping from the DVD. ;)
It has a pretty good sound quality to it so it shouldn't be to bad. :)

When does Burl Ives sing "Ol' Dan Patch" in the movie? I was looking all over but I cannot find it.

Ol Dan Patch

I believe he sings it as they are returning from the train after the arrival of Dan Patch. Jerry gives him an apple and Uncle gets the nail.

Ok I have all the music from So Dear To My Heart! I will be ripping it from the DVD so the sound will be HQ and will add a few bonus tracks for the soundtrack... so stay tuned!

Also, there is a track in the film that the little boy turns on from a record called "Cricket On A Frying Pan" Is that a song used in the film or that was made for the film?
