I was excited by the title when I saw this. Then I looked at the playlist. I don't even recognize many of the songs. What the heck are some of these from. I like most of the artists, but the lack of favorite disney songs is disappointing. Here is the playlist:
1. Ready, Set, Don't Go - Billy Ray Cyrus featuring Miley Cyrus * (I know this song, but it's not from a disney film is it?)
2. Life Is a Highway - Rascal Flatts
3. Wherever the Trail May Lead - Tim McGraw
4. Through Your Eyes - Martina McBride *
5. Blue Beyond - Trisha Yearwood *
6. You'll Be in My Heart - Bucky Covington
7. Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Phil Stacey
8. Will the Sun Ever Shine Again - Bonnie Raitt *
9. There Is Life - Alison Krauss *
10. When I See an Elephant Fly - Josh Gracin
11. Baby Mine - SHeDAISY
12. We Go Together - Little Big Town *
13. Part of Your World - Faith Hill
14. Find Yourself - Brad Paisley *
15. Real Gone - Billy Ray Cyrus
I marked with a * the songs I don't know. Can anyone tell me which movies they are from. And come on, Faith Hill singing Part of your World. That was on the the similar cd years ago "The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney", a far superior selection in my opinion.

These songs are from sequels! No wonder I didn't recognize them. Maybe they should have called it "Country Sings Second Rate Disney".
There are an abundnace of songs that could have been chosen, or even re-used from the previous country release with a different artist.
It could have been a nice mix of old and new, such as songs from a classic like Cinderella and Mary poppins to new ones like Enchanted.I would love to hear Dierks Bentley sing "So Close" from Enchanted, or new country duet version of "A Whole New World".
This is mostly disappointing becasue country version of disney songs are much more appealing than the hideous pop versions they put on the disney mania cds. Sorry to anyone who likes them, but for me they kind of butcher the beauty of the music.

I don't think you should write off this track list as second rate Disney. I know most of the songs from their films, and they are all quite nice even if the films weren't the best in the case of some of the sequals.. There Is Life, Will the Sun Ever Shine Again, Find Yourself, and Wherever the Trail May Lead are especially beautiful songs. If you like country music and Disney songs, I bet you'd like this album even if you don't know most of the songs.
These are nice songs you are right gardeneer14, but I already own all the soundtracks that have all the songs on them! I am just missing the three new songs, and then I will have the complete CD, so why rebuy songs I already have?
Now this CD is good for people who don't own any of these CD's, but I think it is a cheap way for Disney to cash in on some money. At least remake the songs on the CD, then it would be worth the wild!

Perhaps you're right. I didn't mean to write them off. I guess I was just frustrated there are not my more songs included that I know well and love. If it comes on i-tunes I will check out the samples.don't think you should write off this track list as second rate Disney. Ohhh, ok lol.gardener14 wrote:Matt, I was referring to Marianne or anyone who may not be interested in the cd because the songs are unfamiliar to them. To those people I say sometimes songs or their respective films get overlooked and don't become household tunes, but their still good songs.
I am sure this will be a great CD too. I just feel they should have redone songs, not re use them, you know? but that's Disney for ya!
