I don't know how to make it so the video plays in the thread, but there's a link, and here's one to the "E" exclusive from last night:

Yeah, so yesterday I started watching what I thought was the trailer, but it was the ET exclusive, and there was some footage that I shouldn't have seen, having not finished the book. I pressed the stop button right then. But, I will watch the trailer right now.
*******Watching trailer*********
Maybe I had seen that with sound last time...? I don't remember. Anyhoo, I don't think that Edward flies in the book...at least not in the first 8 or 9 chapters......?

1. What are your thoughts on the Cullens? What secrets do you think they are hiding?
I think that they might not trust people outside of their family. I think that they might not be a normal family...
2. Do you think the Cullens are kind, or evil?
I don't think that they are evil, and we don't really see them interact with others (except for Edward, who does), so I don't know if I could call them kind. Maybe they're just misunderstood...?
3. Do you think Bella will go for him in the end?
If this means will Bella fall for Edward, then yes, I do. Even now she is definitely interested in Edward...even if not in a romantic sense now, she's intrigued by him.

So, my copy of "Twilight" was from the library, and it was due yesterday. I couldn't renew it because there was a waiting list with 68 people on it...
So I probably won't be participating in the "Twilight" discussion much. I wish that I had spent more time reading the book...I really liked what I read. My bad.

I could buy it...I really did like it, so I may in the future, but right now I really need to save my money- I've spent way too much lately. In general, though, for the books I read for the book club, I just want to borrow them from the library, because it could get expensive to buy each book, unless it's a book that I know I'll want to read again later...
I'll think about it, though!
Thanks, Dottie!

Well, my having to return "Twiglight" before I was finished with it kind of killed the book club, I think.
I am going to buy the "Twilight" series of books eventually, so maybe we all can talk about it then...
I was at the library on Tuesday and took out "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. It's about the true story of a man who left everything behind and went to Alaska. A movie based on the book came out last year. I haven't seen the movie, but I'm extremely interested in the story, so I took out the book. If anyone would like to also read the book, we could discuss it here! If not, no biggie!!!

My sister read that last year for a book report and I decided to start it when she was finished. It really didn't hook me in the beginning. I felt that it was boring IMO. I'm sure that you can come up with your own feelings toward the book but I certainly didn't like it. Though I heard the movie was good (and transcendalistic [don't ask, something I learned in school]).blackcauldron85 wrote:I was at the library on Tuesday and took out "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. Anyway, I'm finally reading a book (I know shocker!) that I want to read. It's Neverwhere by Neil (I think) Gaiman. I really like it so far (I'm about 1/3 way through). If anyone has read it, I think Door is such an interesting character as was the Rat-Lady though she unfortunately died. The main character and his problem is pretty boring but I really like the rest of the book. Right now I'm swamped with Huck Finn but once I get the chance I'll definitely catch up on Neverwhere (I have it checked out from the library to the 28th).
