Instrumental versions of classic Disney songs

Post by pap64 »

For years, I've been looking for the instrumental versions of Disney songs. You know, the kind that Disney uses on their DVD documentaries? I tried making them myself using a program called "Goldwave" but the results were less than perfect. And the OFFICIAL instrumental songs were really just crappy MIDI karaoke scores.

So imagine my great delight when I finally found clear, perfect instrumental songs!

This YouTube user has taken footage of the songs, cleaned the vocals and choruses and left it with just the instrumental sections.

They are perfect and VERY crystal clear. You can finally appreciate the harmony and instruments used in a song without the vocals potentially blocking them.

Here are some of my favorites:

You know, on the second disc of "Ultimate Disney Princess" CD there are karaoke versions of those songs - without background vocals.

And there's also this great CD called "Disney's Instrumental Impressions". It's genuinely beautiful.

Like I mentioned earlier, the instrumental versions on the Princess CD are MIDI versions, not the original film versions.

I do have to hunt that other CD down, though.

Sorry, I didn't know that :( .

The other CD doesn't have original film songs either, but the arrangements are so beautiful - they're mostly done with guitar and piano.

I've been using the same technique as EmpireSB to rip the instrumental music from DVD's. You can download the Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast scores from my blog:

The instrumental for Toy Story 2's "When She Loved Me" is pretty beautiful. I personally think it's a lot sadder *without* the words!

The Disney Princess Sing-Along-Songs DVDs have karaoke.

Those are the real ones too. But they don't remove talking... that's my only complaint.

Now if only they put some of my favorite songs like Arabian Nights or I'll Make a Man Out of You on that series  (I mean come on... Honor To Us All is just asking for earbleed... even if it IS more princessy than the other songs in that movie!)

He gave a mermaid her voice, a beast his soul, and Arabs something to complain about
Arabian Nights (Unedited)
Savages (Uncensored)
If it ain't OTV, it ain't worth anything!
