Does anyone know where I can find this educational film?

I have searched everywhere. I've checked disneyeducationalproductions.com, ebay, amazon.com, and even just plain google. I've come up empty everytime. I'm searching for the education film "Amy on the Lips". It was a 33 minute version of the early 1980s film "Amy" that was used in classrooms to educate children about the difficulties associated with learning as a handicapped child and how far we've come in being able to teach the disabled.

I was hoping that someone here might have some leads or be able to help. I'm looking for this film in virtually any format (VHS, 16mm, 8mm, even 35mm or DVD...though I don't think it was released on either 35mm or DVD). I've checked some local schools and they don't have it. Perhaps there is a teacher in this forum who can help, or another collector out there who would be willing to help.

I suppose anything at this point would be awesome.

Yes, and I also am converting some 35mm film of "Amy" as well (the trailer and such). However, I cannot find this educational film. If anyone has any leads I'd be glad for help.

I have done a bunch of internet searches and everyone appears to be under the impression Amy on the Lips is just a retitling of Amy and there is no seperate cut. For whatever reasons after it was released on VHS a 16 mm print was released called Amy on the Lips. Of course all of the sites could be confused as well.

I found one site that mentioned in a review about a company that distributed this film for schools and stuff. I called the company and they were like, "What are you talking about". It turns out that review was from the mid 1990s! The company didn't have any record of having it at this time.

Right now the only info I have on this program is that it ran for 33 1/2 minutes, and was distributed on VHS and 16mm for schools. It was an edited version of "Amy" with new footage used to describe how far we've come in the education and socialization of the handicapped community.

I'm still searching like mad crazy, though. Thanks everyone for the help......keep searching please. It's bound to be out there!

"Amy on the Lips" was actually the working title for this picture, and some press materials labelled the film as such. That is why people often confuse the title of "Amy" as "Amy on the Lips".
