I have only heard bits of Meloradrama but she has such a fantastic voice (and body and acting abilities but those are beside the point). Also did you get them from her website? If so is getting it signed and from her worth the extra money? For Meloradrama that is since I'm not sure if Purr is in any/many stores.
I adore that woman. *swoons*
I thought I was the only one!
Ever since I saw her in the Tower Of Terror, I fell in love with her singing voice and acting, and always look forward to any appearance she has in a film. Personally, I love both of the CDs, and think that she's fantastic in them. I also greatly admire her that she wrote pretty much every single song on both CDs. The Meloradrama is more of a folk/pop rock feeling with some very heartfelt songs I think. I especially really like Go, Stand By, and Consequences Are.
Purr I think is probably my favorite of the two. It reminds me a lot like Doris Day/ Julie London 50s lounge jazz style, which I think her voice is perfect for. I pretty much love every song on it, and how each one has a different style to it. I think my favorite is probably I've Got My Eye On You, and how it has a little bit of swing/Dixieland bounce to it. There's also some really pretty ballads like Heaven And Earth, Cloud 9, Sight To Be Seen, Dope Me Up, A Boy And His Cat, a swing-like number called Dance, and a mambo one Dial "O" On The Little Pink Telephone.
And yep, I did get them from her website. I think the only thing you need to buy them is Paypal. And to me, what you get is well worth the money. You get both albums signed by her, two autographed pictures (one of her headshot and as Jan Levinson), two pens that have her with the Purr portrait pose, and a postcard picture of the Purr portrait. All together, I'm so happy I spent the money on it.
It's so great to find that there's another Melora fan on here who adores her just as much as me.
