Does the Disney Store have it available for pre-order? They usually do the lithographs with it.

Does this mean that the new DVD is the same as the Gold Collection one, but with a new game?brownpuppy wrote: The aspect Ratio of the film is a Full Screen (1.33:1)

Well, that settles it. No double-dip for me. Pity too, I wanted a theatrically matted version.

Hang on there...could be light at the end of the tunnel for the Coming soon section
Well.... that one Coming soon of The Secret of the Magic Gourd might be worth buying Sword in the Stone DVD.......I wonder if The secret of the Magic gourd will come directly to DVD or Theaters....??
I just did some research (google) on the Disney's The Secret of the Magic Gourd and here is what I found out..

http://www.wolfstad.com/dcw/blog/2007/0 ... gic-gourd/The Walt Disney Company’s first non-Hollywood movie made more than $1 million at Chinese box offices in its first week. “The Secret of the Magic Gourd”, a mix of live action and CGI animation, is based on a famous Chinese children’s story by the late Chinese children’s writer Zhang Tianyi. It is about a boy who’s troubled by his magical vegetable, which steals from others to please him. Hong Kong special-effects studio Centro Digital Pictures, which worked on “Kill Bill,” made the movie.

Already knew!!
I work for a retail store and I already knew about the save $6.00 when you buy any two of those films but we are going to have it where if you buy all 3 you can save $10.00. Also right now our pixar dvds are on sale as are some of our blu-ray dvds (for what little selection we have).

That is a shame, but I am excited about The Secret of the Magic Gourd. When I was a cast member, there was a special Newsreel about it (it's a film Disney made for China, if I'm not mistaken) and I was interested in seeing it.
Back on topic, I'll probably pass on this release since I own the GC version and hopefully Disney will get it right when TSatS comes out on Bluray, hopefully for a 50th Anniversary special edition that is worth the upgrading, but that's asking too much.

I honestly don't know. brownpuppy was annoyingly cryptic and answered every question except the one concerning bonus features.ichabod wrote:Is everything carried over from the previous release?
Even if "Disneyland" was carried over or not, it doesn't matter to me anymore. It's likely the same open-matte transfer with minimal restoration done and I can live without "Merlin's Magical Academy". My Gold Collection DVD has received a stay of execution for the next 7 years.

Yes, but here in the UK we were cheated out of the Disneyland ep the first time around (As we were with a few bonus features on the UK versions of the GCs). But now BVHE UK seems to make the newer DVDs identical, so it may be worth UKers ditching the old one and rebuying the new one.Escapay wrote:Even if "Disneyland" was carried over or not, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I've been thinking about getting Huchback as of late because of what happened to Tarzan.David S. wrote:
Because both titles got THE SHAFT regarding bonus features!
Tons of stuff already "in the can" from the laserdisc FAILED to show up on Hunchback, and Hercules is even more bare.

Herc is one I won't touch yet though...
Off-Topic: I've only got 11 ACs to go and only one is OOP (from what I can tell).

Looks as though the Disneyland episode is included. This website shows a clip of the episode and says it is from a special feature.
