The Breakfast Club (1984), again. This was the first time my brother had seen it all the way through and he liked it. Said the ending wasn't very good. I agree it's predictable that 4 of them get together and Brian writes the essay, but I don't mind. I personally think it's a fantastic movie because it's impossible not to feel a relation to these characters and be engaged/intrested with all their antics in the movie.

I've finally watched one of Charlie Chaplin's later films, [Monsieur Verdoux a dark comedy of murder.
Monsieur Verdoux Charlie Chaplin's most suave film of his lifetime, Monsierur Verdoux, is based on the case of serial killer Henri Désiré Landru, who was a true bluebeard and married single widows for their money. This film had me interested because in ways it's a different Chaplin that we're seein on the screen, Martha Raye is wonderfuly casted as one of Verdoux's failed victims (makes various hillarous attempts). The ending is so subtle, dark and chillin, when you see Verdoux walkin in a *spoiler* you see legs go in the way the Tramp walks. 20/20
Chicken Little The animation is impressive, Chicken Little comes off as a smart alec take on the classic story. Course it's been awhile since I read the actual story, I'd go with the W.W. 2 verison of Chicken Little.

Halloween (Remake) Get ready for a longish review and possible spoilers! 
It's so....so..excessive. It's like Rob Zombie said "let's take some nudity, F-Bombs, sexual topics (can't think of the right word), gore, violence and brutality and just leave out everything else and multiply all that by 10" The first 20 minutes must have had at least 10 uses of the F-bomb alone, I was put off by the amount of swearing, generally I don't care if it's in movies but at that amount it's annoying. Moving on, the amount of sexual innuendos and other references is too abundant as well throughout the movie. Then we get to the gore/violence, as usual with Rob Zombie films it's extremely excessive and I often found myself turning away or jumping in my seat. Onwards to the plot, it's nice to get a bit of they "Why is he such a psycho" backstory, but at the same time it went on too long especially with the things I"ve mentioned above. The second half of the film becomes a shortened version of the original with people being killed minutes after you meet them, it's impossible to care about anyone even in the slightest. Some characters you never even see such as the boyfriends of Annie and what's-her-face (see what I mean by not caring?) you see the one for two minutes (long enough to get hacked) and the other you never even see his face or get an idea about what he's like before he's offed. All in all, watch it if you dare.

St Trinian's (2007)
If you only watch one film with a lead character in drag... watch Hairspray.... Otherwise, watch St Trinian's too
As a person who has a strange love/hate relationship with the B/W originals, I pretty knew what to expect. And this film delivers more or less exactly what I expected. In fact, it did deliver more rather than less, as while individually (and on paper) it sounds like a infantile, cliched, racy, somewhat gross, entirely predictable effort, somehow, when put together, it just doesn't really matter. Much like the old films, you know you should hate this - you know it is, intellectually, almost as far down the scale as 'Date Movie' - but you just can't end up liking it. It has a feelgood atmosphere that overcomes it's obvious limitations.
It must be said, Rupert Everett as the school's headmistress (and her blackguard brother - Boo! Hiss!) is wonderful. He totally "gets" it, and its clear he's making the film for no other reason than to have fun while doing it. Russell Brand is perfectly fine as Flash Harry, and Colin Firth once more plays on his Mr Darcy associations.
A particular highlight for me was the animated planning of the heist, which used artwork in the style of the original comic book cartoons the films were based on.
8/10 - but leave your brain at the door before watching.

I am glad I am not the only person in the world who actually liked St. Trinian's. (Of course, it stars Colin Firth, so I had to watch it and the wet shirt scene made my heart flutter 
)
But I was surprised how well it was made. Of course it is stupid and predictable and as you pointed out you really have to leave your brain at the door, but I've seen worse movies.
And it also stars the new Bond Girl Gemma Arterton whose make-up and style, I thought was absolutely great.
I watched Apollo 13 tonight.
