Disney's College Road Trip Discussion

Post by disneyfella »

I just saw this movie tonight, and thought it was pretty fun. Definitely better than I thought, but nothing amazing. I especially liked seeing a bunch of familiar Disney stars......reminds me of the Disney comedies from the 60s where they reused everybody. They don't overdo the cameos, but they just all seem like they are having a lot of fun.

Probably the worst thing about this movie is that there was absolutely NO short film in front of this. I sincerely hope this was only my theatre because if not we were again shown how Disney likes to have unfullfilled promises. Even the new Disney :(

John Lasseter told us that we would have a short in front of all the Disney films again........why didn't we get one?

It's got the return of so many young Disney actresses (and former Disney actresses) that I actually like, which is astounding. It's a dream cast for a modern live Disney movie.
If Lalaine had a part, it would be perfect. (I'm not complaining about the lack of Anneliese van der Pol. She was in theaters last year, and I can see how having both her and Raven in the movie would be a bit much.)
Brenda Song and Margo Harshman are going to make this movie for me. I miss Margo as Tawny from "Even Stevens."

I honestly thought I would hate it. Had a free pass & needed to get 4 stubs for DMR so I went to see it. It was quite enjoyable. I may even buy it on dvd. A pleasant surprise.

I'm sorry, but I have no interest in seeing this movie. I have had enough of these "family road trip" comedies.

I'm actually pretty excited to see this one! Now if only I can convince one of my friends that they too are excited to see it.....

I went to see this with three of my kids (ages 10, 10, and 12) on Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised as well.
The first 10-15 minutes of the movie was so-so, then it really got interesting. I love that it was rated G and that the whole plot wasn't killed by the previews. Sure, there were some gags/scenes that were stretched for reality....but there were enough funny scenes that weren't ruined by the previews that totally made this worth your while/money.
It's definitely not 5-star quality, but I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Check it out! I even had tears in my eyes near the end.

Edited to say: I wasn't thrilled with the Wall-E preview (why are they using the same preview music as Bee Movie?), but the new Narnia movie looks absolutely amazing!

I just saw "College Road Trip" today and loved it! I had wanted to see it really badly since I first saw previews for it, and it matched my expectations and then some! It was very enjoyable! I laughed, I was moved- it was touching!

I recommend it!

Yeah I don't think it's playing in my town, but I thought it did look good. I may see it if it ever comes to my town.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

i went to see this with my dad the other day, but her wanted to watch 10,00BC instead. So i have yet to see this, but i'm really excited about it; i just found out that Raven executive procuced it, its not a total surprise because she prodices everything she's on but, its kind of a bold move from Disney since she hasn't produced thatrically realeased films.

by the way PeterPanFan i love your sig.

Nah, I'm not interested in seeing this at all. I can tell by the previews that it's just going to be a lot of gags and over-acting. But sounds like a lot of you like it, so that's good.

I'm interested in seeing it but I might just buy it on DVD. Theater costs so much here that it's sometimes cheaper to buy it on DVD...
