And where was Lady in 101 Dalmations???

Oliver and Company: Roger from 101 Dalmatians, a picture of Ratigan (Georgette's room), Pongo, Jock, Peg and Trusty.
firstly... i never said "they put antelope horns on a deer" i said they "reanimated her as an antelope" meaning... they took the animation of bambi's mother eating in the meadow and then quickly looking up and behind her, and they reanimated it as an antelope doing the same exact thing (something quite common in Disney films... the Beauty And The Beast waltz, several scenes in The Jungle Book and Robin Hood... there are other threads that talk about it so you can do the research on your own)

In Beauty And The Beast she is in the very beginning of the film.

And I don't remember exactly where in TSATS, but it's towards the beginning as well... When they are headed towards the forest I believe.

And Lady is in the twilight bark scene...

Instead of being condescending because YOU couldn't see them... maybe you should look a little harder next time.

And if it was a Kudu or Impala... sorry for calling it an antelope... but grow up, simple mistake.

Using Bambi's mother as a model for an antelope in LK is not the same as a cameo. In that case...Robin Hood has a Snow White cameo. Beauty and the Beast as a Sleeping Beauty cameo...both had dances originally from other movies. But that's not the case. They aren't cameos. They are just recycling of old animation. Not the same.

And I never said you said "they put antelope horns on a deer". In LK, all I see are species of antelope native to Africa. That was all I was saying. If they did use Bambi's mother as a model for one antelope, its not the same as a cameo. But I don't see them even using her as a model. The animation they did for the antelope was fast and easy to do. Unlike the dance sequences, I can see being lazy and using old animation, it required a lot of characters and movement. But an antelope lifting its head in a similar way to Bambi's mother doesn't mean she made a cameo.

Belle walking down the street in Hunchback, that was new animation. As was Scar's hide in Hercules.
Those a true cameos.

And I have B&B on my comp. I see a deer. Not specifically Bambi's mother. Its like saying, "the bluebird flying by, that one was in Snow White."

I always find the term "grow up" funny on a Disney forum. Most of us here are adults talking about cartoons. If we all grew up, it would be a boring forum indeed.

I wasn't being condescending in my post before. I simply was asking. You assumed the worst and shame on you. This is a message board, you cannot see facial expressions or hear the tone of someone's voice, so how can you be sure of my tone when I was asking. Try not to assume you know how I am saying it. And yes, now I am being condescending.

I didn't say Bambi's mother has a cameo in The Lion King... I said she is reanimated as an antelope... which she is... whether you are familiar enough with Bambi or not, animator's have stated on commentary that one of the antelopes in the Circle Of Life sequence is actually Bambi's mother reanimated... That's fact...

Listen to the commentary, read interviews... Watch Bambi again... it's quite clear.

Listen to the commentary... If you can't see it, or don't believe it, that's your problem... Disney staff and animators have been quoted as making those statements... So whether you choose to believe the people who did it or not is up to you.

You're right... I could have said dumb a*s, b*tch or assh*le instead of condescending, they probably would have worked better and more clearly got across what i was trying to say... Maybe next time.

The point of this thread is to discuss the instances in which characters from one Disney film show up in another Disney film... Whether it be a "true cameo", a direct copy of animation or use of pre-existing animation as a model for the new animation doesn't matter.

I'm sure most people who hear "Bambi's mother was reanimated as an antelope in The Lion King" will find it a fun bit of trivia... Dissecting it (which you have done) is not the purpose of this thread...

No, I was having a discussion. Part of discussion is to question what other people say. It was you who accused me of being condescending. Next time, maybe ask first before you accuse someone. I had no attitude when I posted my questions. You are the one who got ugly.

I will be sure to never question you again. It seems you get too defensive for nothing. And thus waste my time.

Watch it JDCB1986, you are coming extremely close to a personal attack. We do not allow personal attacks around here, nor offensive language. Blocking out one or two letters is just as bad as outright typing the words. Consider this post a warning for you.

Okay, trying to get this back on topic.

I know Lion King (Circle of Life scene) and Quack Pack both got cameos on the Gargoyles series. Both scenes were seen on the tv Hudson watched in Castle Wyvern. He flipped right past them. I almost remember him sighing with boredom over Quack Pack. Apparently Hudson is not a Donald Duck fan. I always wished they showed the scene of Cheranbog from Fantasia...now that would have been funny

And who are you ?

If I wanted to make a personal attack, I would have...

Saying "i could have called you _____ instead of condescending" is far from a personal attack.

And as far as not allowing offensive language...

Why don't you track down and "warn" all of the other people on this board who have used "offensive" language, as I have seen quite a few posts with the very words I starred out.

Siren offended me with his/her response to my post... And when I stand up for myself and try to make clear what I was saying, since Siren didn't understand... I get warned against using personal attacks...

Strange.

JDCB1986, your warning is for the language. I said you were coming close to a personal attack, not that you made a personal attack. I was letting you know that you were treading dangerous ground.

As for who am I, Siren is correct. I am one of the moderators.

As for others using inappropriate language, I can't catch everyone. However, when I do catch someone, I issue a warning. I will be more than happy to issue warnings to others, if you care to give me links to the offending posts.

In the future, if you feel you are being personally attacked by anyone, send an email to myself, Luke, or one of the other mods. There is no need to clutter up topics with needless bickering.
