Tiny Toons and Freakazoid coming to DVD July 29!!!!

Post by MickeyMousePal »

This is not an April fool’s Joke
Now, when will Warner Brothers take out Animaniacs Volume 4...
Finally Tiny Toons Adventure and Freakazoid will both be on DVD.
I still remember beating Tiny Toons Adventure on the NES....when I was younger. This brings back so many memories

Good one, thanks for the laugh! ;)

I AM SO EXCITED. This better NOT be a joke by TVShowsonDVD.com!

Ew, a 2-sided disc for disc 4? That means there won't be cover art.

So, this is legit?!!! I'm so psyched for Freakazoid! Tiny Toons is awesome too, but I'll be getting the Animaniacs DVDs before that one. Haven't gotten much non-Disney animation yet though because I'm trying to keep up with the Disney TV show releases and Treasures sets. Still need Gargoyles s.2 p. 1, in fact! It's so pricey and hard to find though... :(

YAY! I'm so happy to finally hear word that they decided to begin releasing Tiny Toons now! I always grew up watching that and Animaniacs, and I was so thrilled to get the first three volumes of when they came out now. Now I wonder when they might come out with Animaniacs 4. I heard that Warner wanted to first release volume one of Tiny Toons before they would release another set of Animaniacs.

Where did you hear that? Maybe we will see Volume 4 after all.

I heard word of it from another DVD site that was discussing about possible Warner series releases on DVD. Then again that could have just been a rumor for all I know, so I don't know if it's real evidence on the release or not. :p

I just hope they might release the fourth volume sometime soon. After watching Animaniacs again, I forgot how witty the show was just for adults too. There are so many jokes, especially like about old 1920s-40s Hollywood, I would have never gotten as a kid that make me laugh so much now.

Warner said at the HTF chat that there were no further plans to finish the last quarter of Animaniacs. Dissapointed but given we have 3/4 of it not devastating either.

This is just confirmation from the same HTF chat where they said it was coing late second/eariy third quarter. News of animation has not been very good in the first quarter so I am thrilled to see it.

Looks like three volumes - 103 episodes plus two specials plus a movie.

If WB likes releasing two volumes of two different shows simultaneously, there might be a possible chance we will see the fourth volume of Animaniacs.

Let's assume Tiny Toons will have 3 Volumes and Freakazoid will be in 2 Volumes.

Predicted Schedule:
Tiny Toons Vol. 1 with Freakazoid Vol. 1
Tiny Toons Vol. 2 with Freakazoid Vol. 2
Tiny Toons Vol. 3 with Animaniacs Vol. 4

Because Freakazoid is only 2 volumes, something will have to be released with Tiny Toons Volume 3. If this is true, I am betting Warner isn't releasing Animaniacs 4 with Tiny Toons 1 to keep interest by putting something fresh on shelf.

Thanks for the info, Mr Toad! I hope that WB eventually might change their mind and release volume 4. Or if they do, decide not to wait to so long to finally release it.

Prince Phillip - got in touch with somebody who got in touch with Warner Brothers. There are currently no plans to put out Volume 4 of Animaniacs but it is not outright cancelled. They may release it with Volume 3 of Tiny Toons or they may go with Tazmania.

Just in case anyone here hasn't seen Tazmania, here's a clip of the intro theme:

Thanks for the information, Mr Toad! I hope they don't just stop at Volume 3, but at least we have most of the series if they do.

And thank you so much for posting that link, Lazario! I remember watching Tazmania and have a video of two of the episodes on it from when I was a kid. It brought back a lot of fond memories. :)

You're welcome.

I was hoping it would in me too. But it didn't. Although, you know maybe a show didn't mean so much to you when the thing you remember the most about it is two lines of its theme song. And that shot of the volcano and the birds squawking.

Can't believe I didn't notice this before. I love that episode.

Yay! Thank you so much for posting that! Reminds me so much of being a kid and watching it on Nickelodeon every day after school.

I found another one of my favorites on there too called Minister Golf. That's another one I fondly rememer too. "Me want blue ball! Yay, is blue!"

I can't wait for July now. :p
