The most anticipated attraction at Hong Kong Disneyland since opening, it's a small world, has finally been given an official opening date and some sneak-peek photos from Disney.
Except for her dress, Lilo fits right in. I think that the human characters will fit in more with the style of it's a small world better than the animal characters. But, I'm thrilled to see what the characters in the ride will look like.

You don't have to wait long...
Some additional photos as part of the weekly round-up:
Back for another week with another column, and guess what we are talking about this week? You bet it IS a small world after all this week. We also have a stack of new Disney approved photos for your collective pleasure, so get your eyes inside our reading hole!
I really won't mind seeing these characters in the original. I never thought I would say that, but these don't look like the characters at all. They just look like small world children dressed as the characters.

I guess I agree! They look very cute! I'm most curious to see Mickey & the gang, though. Aren't they going to be put in the ride?
Also, the picture labeled "Canada" has Pocahontas in it, right? Or was that not supposed to be Pocahontas? Because she's not Canadian...?!?
I'm surprised only now have they gotten around to getting in the Cantonese version of the song for the ride...I still remember Mom singing "it's a small world" in Cantonese whenever we heard the melody.
I definitely never thought I would say this, but I actually really like the characters in this version of It's a Small World. They did a really good job with it. I don't think I would want them to change the one in Disney World though. I hope that I get a chance to see this in person one day.

On the website it stated that Pocahontas was is in the Americas; so it's probably either right next to Canada or all blended together.
