I think she looks pretty in a non conventional way
:(

the premise of enchanted would have been destroyed had it all been animated,
even though I love the mucha-esque stylistic animation.

Enchanted completely animated? Then it would be a whole different Enchanted, possibly a bad one.

God, no. The whole point of the story is for a happy-go-lucky animated character to be placed out of her element, and what's more out of the element than a live-action world?

Exactly, although I definitely liked the animated sequences. The animation reminded me of that from Treasure Planet, to be honest, at least in respect to most of the human characters.

But she also was animated! What, may I ask, makes you think she is so ugly?

No, actually that wasn't my reason - but for the fact that, as most people already said - the movie would be completely different. I'm assuming you think i'm a HUGE James Marsden fan due to my username being "CornyCollins" and the fact that I like the movie "Hairspray" - however, i've been a fan of the Broadway show for years and "Corny" was always my favorite character from the play.

Mm, guilty as charged. My apologies.

haha - no need to apologize - it's a common mistake and I am a big fan of Broadway.

While I do agree that the animation was great - in a sense that we haven't seen it in years, I like the idea of merging the animated world and the real world - it worked and was quite entertaining.

Um, it wouldn't really work at all 100% animated.

First off, it's Idina, dear. IDINA.
carlaird wrote:PERFECT in Wicked however!!!
Um... because she was covered in green and playing a witch?...

I'm not fan of Idina really at all, and I admit her jaw is lanternous, but ugly?... not really. Not a good actress? Well, you could make that point, and I might agree with you there.

I didn't find Idina ugly, but I didn't find her radiantly beautiful either. What I like about her is that she is REAL. That they didn't go for a cookie-cutter actress. She has faults, real world women have them too. And that in itself is beautiful enough. So the casting was good.

On if I think it should have been fully animated....Ummm...I think the idea was to having the classic fairytale in the real world. If they did all animation, it would not have had as much effect. I love it how it is. Its perfect.

Okay, the first line, I'm sure almost everyone can agree on that.

Everything else is downright dirty. First of all, a prequel would cheapen the value of this masterpiece. Flaccid? And what would you have done to make it stronger?

Making it completely animated wouldn't make the general public watch it. We all watched & enjoyed it because we're all Disney fans. The general public watched it because they thought seeing Disney character roaming around New York actually made a good movie, and it did.

Idina Menzel is not, in any way, ugly. So she may not be "your taste", but that doesn't give you the right to call her ugly, especially if you can't even spell her name correctly.

If you learn to click thewebsite icon you can see
Also
no one reall cares how you spell her name as long as you get Chenoweth spelled right!
One of the films flaws was she was in so little of the film (thank God) that you didnt really care about her enough to make that ending mean anything it was kind of flacid

Well, althought my favorite part was the animated part and I prefer Giselle the best as animated (with the pink dress),not really, because the whole point was of them seeing the real world and get to there.
But I whould love to see a whole TV series about Giselle's life in Andalasia.
I agree with the Prudence-the animation does looks like Treasure Planet.

I would also say no because it would've destroyed the whole premise of the movie.
