I've seen 101 Dalmations something like two dozen times over the decades and never noticed something unique until I popped in the platinum disc. There's a cameo from "Lady and the Tramp!"
Check out the scene where the dogs in the pet shop are howling. As the shot opens, we see several dogs in cages--to the extreme left is "Peg" ("He's a Tramp") from Lady in the Tramp!

101 Dalmatians: Platinum Edition DVD Press Release
I got my copy yesterday from BB, and I have to say the wait was worth it.
I very much enjoyed having full-color disc artwork restored for this Platinum Edition, as I really wasn't fond of the translucent disc artwork used for the past three years. And the restoration just shows many details and nuances in the animation that I wasn't aware of before -- Cruella sprinkling cigarette ash in Anita's teacup and many of the darker night scenes with Colonel and Sgt. Tibbs. An excellent restoration. (And this is probably the only other Platinum aside from Snow White in which nothing in the film itself is altered or have additional credits tacked on at the end.)
The extras themselves are nice, but are still lacking. A commentary by Andreas Deja, Bill Peet's widow or anyone else who participated in 101 Dalmatians would've been nice. But it's still a nice package overall.

Although, I admit that the only reason I did was because I was watching it with one of the "pop up" selections turned on...hehe

Yes, Jock, Lady and the Bulldog (I forget his name) also make a cameo. IF you watch the "Redefining the Line: The Making of 101 Dalmatians" it points them out to you so you can see them all. They are all in the same scene.Barbossa wrote:ifoceanscollide wrote: There's more characters in there from Lady and the Tramp.
