Anyone know how well the JB Deluxe set sold?? Hopefully 101 will sell so well that Disney will continue to give the UK PE's deluxe sets...

Ooh, I blink and I miss half of this stuff. I was also pleased with the JB set, even if the book was fairly ordinary. It was a little bit something "extra" I guess, and I am resigned to only buying one copy of each Platinum now (because I was averaging 2 or 3 for a while there).

Cool. Where can you get these from? I know Asda used to do it.

Amazon and Play.com both have it on their sites so I'd say every store would be doing it.

Well Enchanted's out on April 7th, and you can get a free mobile phone charm at Play. Whatever the hell that is.

Oddly Amazon says it is released on March 18th

Has the International DVD forum died? :|

Hey ichabod! Stop lazing around and keep us updated (yeah ... even if that's coming from a user who has practically become a lurker, nevermind :P )

I can confirm that despite the Press Release to the contrary and the fact the BBFC apparently passed the film in matted widescreen, the UK 101 Dalmations is full frame.

That's weird. Does it have the original mono soundtrack? I doubt t, because Jungle Book didn't.

A heads up to all of those planning on getting Enchanted on DVD.

If I were you, I'd preorder it now from HMV, for two reasons. 1, it's currently only £11.99, which is cheaper than any other etailer. also 2, it comes with a HMV exclusive bonus disc with a 30 minute documentary not on the regular DVD, nor does it seem to be on the bluray either. This bonus disc is only while stocks last.

What a joke! Why didn't they just put that on the DVD in the first place?

just thought i'd post and say that as of today's 101 dalmatians release i now have all 46 (47 including the wild WHICH DOESN'T COUNT!!) animated classics, all on U.K official region 2 barring make mine music, including the fantasia/2000 special set, snow white book box set, sleeping beauty 2 disc collectors, original tarzan collectors, emp new groove and atlantis 2 disc collectors and beauty and the beast fold-out set

its cost an absolute fortune due to stupidly not buying some until they had gone back into the sacred vault, but i'm chuffed that i now have them all. when my new special cabinet gets built i'll put a pic up.

might just be sounding off but i don't care

cheers

Just want to be sure:

Do the UK editions of Robin Hood and The Aristocats (Special Editions) have the same video transfer of their American counterparts (i.e. widescreen / so-called new digital transfer)?

I just don't trust the DVD specifications you get on Play or Amazon, ichabod.

Thanks!

I have them both, and they're both anamorphic widescreen, so yes.
