ALL Disney DVD have the security strips?

Post by subzero »

Hi, I was just curious, if all the disney dvds contain the white Security strip, if you don't know what I'm referring to, its that white strip on top of the dvd that contains the name and product number of the movie.

Reason I ask because I know for a fact that this ebay reseller is selling bootlegs and I notice alot of them are all blaming their distributor, which is ALL BS, sad thing is ebay only cares about making profits than enforcing their own policies.

This is what one of the reseller wrote back to me
Thank you for your interest in our DVDs. We only have an extremely limited
amount of Disney DVDs left with the security strips attached. These DVDs
include The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, Lady And The Tramp and The
Jungle Book. All of our DVDs are pulled at random when an auction is won.
The DVDs with-out the security strips were produced before they were put on
by the manufacturer. These DVDs are the same exact DVDs as the ones with the
strips attached and in no way effects the quality or integrity of the DVD,
as all of our DVDs are REAL USA made DVDs. We do not guarantee which DVD you
will receive as orders are filled on a first come first serve basis. Please
feel free to e-mail us back if you have any further questions.

Thanks again,
Cyber Deals
sad thing is that doofus has GREAT feedback too, and I even contacted one of the buyer and she claims it fake but yet left a positive feedback

I also hate this. Ebay are not in any way taking this serious, and that disepoints me.

Statements like "Made in America" gets me to. I don't want the DVD to be "Made in America", but "Made by Disney".

Well the Buena Vista DVDs from Columbia House do not come with the stickers, more often than not. I believe Columbia House seals those ones themselves.

I have been selling the following DVDs since they were released:

The Little Mermaid
101 Dalmatians
Lady And The Tramp
The Jungle Book

I have never seen one copy that does not have the security strip. I purchased many of them from a distributor and they all had the security strip. Some of them have not been shrinkwrapped or had Buena Vista stamped on the shrinkwrap but they have always had the security strip. This seller is most likely selling bootlegs.
