Did I do the right thing with my Alice In Wonderland DVD?

Post by Matt »

Ok here is the deal, when Block Buster had the deal when you trade in your DVD movies for points so you can rent movies onto your account, I kinda gotten a little slap happy and gave in my Alice In Wonderland Gold Classic Collection DVD! :(

Being the Collector I am with all the Animated Classics on DVD, I could kick myself lol.

My question is, does the new Alice In Wonderland DVD have a overscan as how Dumbo did? and are all the features on the Gold Classic Collection on the new one? :(

No, you made the right decision. The Masterpiece Edition of Alice actually has slightly more info around the picture. The only valuable feature from the Gold Classic that the Masterpiece Edition doesn't carry over is a 1970s re-release trailer. The ME only has the original 1951 trailer and a different 70s trailer that's almost identical to the 50s one. Unless you care a lot about a DVD storybook and trivia game, you didn't lose anything else by getting rid of it.
