I'm just sitting down for the evening and watching "The Waltz King" for the first time. It was a two part television movie that aired in the U.S. on the "Disneyland" anthology series, and was released theatrically abroad.
Anyway, it is really good. I mean REALLY good. Okay it's no 'Pollyanna' or 'Swiss Family Robinson', but it is a great Disney film with some awesome cinematography, decent script, great acting, and impeccable soundtrack. I'm not sure how historically accurate it is, but if anyone can rent this VHS, buy it online, or borrow it from someone, I highly recommend it for a quality Disney production.
Has anyone else seen this? What are your thoughts?

I was just thinking....this would be a GREAT addition to add to the Walt Disney Treasures line.......I mean, there could be a compliation of several "two episode" stand alone films from the anthology series.
Walt Disney Treasures: TV Movies
"The Waltz King"
"Escapade in Florence"
"Moochie of Little League"

I would love to see a Moochie WDT set, there were a total of 3 Moochie movies right? Hell I want the rest of the MMC serials, especially Spin/Marty and Annette. I loved Annette and when I watched it on Vault Disney at night, and never got to finish the serial out which hacks me off to no end.
I find you pompous, judgemental, and completely self-absorbed.........would you be my friend?
