Thanks for posting the pre-order Ariel'sPrince! I really can't hold out anymore...I NEED this asap. October can't come soon enough!

i cant wait for this on bluray, especially after reading about "Maleficent's Challenge" game! that sounds very interesting. i wonder what it will entail :?

Just out of interest, has anyone here bought 'The Aristocat: Special Edition' ?

Because I just did today, and inside the leaflet that accompanied it was a poster advertising 'Sleeping Beauty: Platinum Edition'. The poster is the cover art I think ! Has anyone seen it ? I am talking about the R2 UK release though.

I really love it; if anyone has seen it, what do you think? And if you guys would like to see how it compares to what weve seen, I can scan it if you like.

Ariel's Prince will like the new logo; it incorporates Aurora's crown on the 'Sleeping Beauty' shield. :)

But the only thing i DONT like is that Prince Phillip is featured twice :x

Aw I'd love to see it! My Aristocats didn't come with a booklet, and I really wanted to see some of the ads. All mine came with was a stupid CD game for little kids about cats and dogs that wasn't even related to Aristocats or Disney.

I came across an old movie poster for Sleeping Beauty, with just a few tweaks would look pretty good for cover art. If anyones interested I could post a link to it :) As well as a list of changes that would make it better :P

That's cool, Sleeping Beauty is one of my faves, I know a lot of people don't seem to like it much but I love it, takes me right back to my childhood and anything that can do that is cool.

Here's the poster, what I like about it is that it's simple and not overcrowded.

Personally, I'd change the clouds to a different color, and fill in the white part at the bottom with said color. Other than that, I'd add the forest of thorns to the castle perhaps, or put in a Dragon Maleficent instead of the castle or instead of Fairy Maleficent, who could always be moved to the far right and be looking down upon them dancing. But like I said, I like how simple it is, it doesn't really look/feel crowded the writing at the bottom could be changed to Special Edition and be filled in with the color of the clouds, basically just drag it down a bit. :)

I've seen that poster; its beautiful.

I think it would be a nice DVD cover, the logo is so simple and elegant and the fairies around it are just pefect. May be a starry night, a bigger
castle moved to the left-top corner, and may be a silhouette of Maleficent's dragon form in the background or the dark silhoute of her
normal self's face and have her eyes pop out in a bright green would also be nice...you know, instead of tiny Philip fighting tiny Maleficent;
and Aurora's pink dress would really stand out if it was at night.

What I love about the logo, is that there isn't some great big shield or anything sitting behind it, because to me it's a distraction and takes up more room than is necessary. Of course one thing I forgot to mention was the words Walt Disneys Classic, could be removed, or just moved down to the bottom with the Special Edition, that way the top half isn't too crowded if other things were added.

In Tuesday (well,Wendsday for me) we"ll be seeing the new Sleeping Beauty PE merchandise! :D i"ll upload them (there'll also be new WALL-E and Narnia stuff,i want to upload the Sleeping Beauty stuff :D).

ASM (the website with that toy faires) said that they'll have Mattel picture in Tuesday,Mattel are making the Disney Princess marchandise (they made the Cinderella PE,Little Mermaid PE,Enchanted Tales and Enchanted merchandise) so that means that in Tuesday we'll see the new Sleeping Beauty PE stuff :D.
By the way,atlanticaunderthesea-Can you show us that Sleeping Beauty cover please? :D.

Ah, ok I see. thats great news Prince! But it seems so early for merchandise yet... but oh well, I'm excited to see it! :D

I will do, as soon as I figure out how to use my scanner! shouldnt be too long though; next few days :)
