I picked up my copy today from Best Buy. I was really happy to add this film to my Disney collection, since I don't yet own it. I got what I thought was supposed to be free Valentine's cards, but the packaging says that it is a stationary set. Oh well, it was free. I will probably be popping this DVD in for a viewing within the next couple days, if not even tonight.

I picked up mine at Wal-mart today and yes, it's got a bonus game wrapped up with it: "JumpStart World Pet Playground: Adopt Care For and Play with Virtual Pets." I was kind of hoping they would include 50 bonus movie rewards points with it but no. Oh well, have to wait till 101 Doggies for bonus points I guess.Widdi wrote:I bought my copy at wal-mart and got some stupid educational kids game that is completely unrelated to the movie. It was shrink wrapped overtop the movie and pretty much destroyed the slipcover (not that I care, but now I can't sell it a year from now when Aristocats slipcovers become scarce).Barbossa wrote:So, are there any bonuses with the release of Aristocats today? Does Wal-Mart happen to have extra movie rewards points?
I'm just glad I can add Aristocats to my collection as I didn't have it before. I need 13 more DACs and I have them all.

I was hoping for the extra points as well. Had I got them 101 Dalmatians would have given me enough for the item I really want. Now I have to buy something else first. It'll probably be Enchanted, but I don't plan on getting it till the DMC makes it the featured title. I figure it's a good way to knock off one of the 4 movies I still need to buy. Ah well. Hopefully they'll still have Little Mermaid Posters by then.Barbossa wrote:I picked up mine at Wal-mart today and yes, it's got a bonus game wrapped up with it: "JumpStart World Pet Playground: Adopt Care For and Play with Virtual Pets." I was hoping the game would at least have something to do with the Aristocats. Ah well. After watching it this afternoon I remembered how much I loved the movie. Jumped way up my ranks of the DACs.

Futureshop doesn't have any bonuses and I haven't checked out HMV. It looks like Wal-Mart is the only one with the bonus game.Flanger-Hanger wrote:Does anybody know, if there are any store exclusive stuff at Futureshop or HMV? Although Futureshop will probably have just some crappy extra DVD case that's useless.

UD's Review
If I didn't already own the GC, I'd go for the SE. (And yet I picked up the SE on impulse, and was delighted to find that "The Great Cat Family" has an animated sequence I loved as a kid but haven't seen in years. Nice to know that $17 went to something worthwhile!)
And since I know you like unmatted animated films (remember when we'd argue constantly about Beauty and the Beast in 1.85:1 vs. 1.66:1?), you'll probably want to track down (or hold on to your copy of) the GC.

There's two more completely different comparison shots here: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=32154Matt wrote:I want to see more than just two screen caps.
There ya go. Now you've got twice as many!
By the way, great review, Luke! Always fun, entertaining reads, them UD reviews are.

Weird, mine didn't have one so I thought perhaps Disney was done giving DVDs slipcovers. I bought mine at a little video rental store (half of it is a Radioshack) here in my town. When that place gets Disney DVDs, they always had a slipcover if they were released with one, at least during their first week, so that's why I thought Disney was finished with slipcovers. My copy was also packaged with the Jumpstart virtual pet CD like the Wal-mart ones.SleepingBeautyAurora wrote:Yep, there is a slipcover.
