Since I already have the previous Platinum Editions of Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and of course, the Jungle Book, as well as the almost-Platinum edition of Sleeping Beauty... I'm most looking forward to the Fantasia DVD, followed very closely by Pinocchio and then 101 Dalmatians.

Pinocchio. I'm super excited about 101 Dalmatians, but that excitement is starting to give way and move to Pinocchio. I really hope it and Fantasia come in 2009. If Disney wants to re-issue the old platinums with the platinum banner and in the platinum time slots (something I really hope they do not do. Re-release the movies, just don't call them "Platinum Editions") I hope they at least finish the collection before re-starting it.

It sucks that you guys missed out on the earlier PEs, but I don't think they should be re-issued under that Platinum Banner. They can be reissued with the exact same features for all I care, just don't call them Platinum Editions. It takes away from the collections worth by having two releases of the same title with the same banner.

They are like collectors items. They don't re-issue pieces of collections just because some collectors started collecting a little late. I started late, but I have all ten releases thus far and I didn't pay more than retail value for any of them. I got an authentic Snow White for $4 for godsake. If you don't want to pay 60 dollars on ebay for SW or BatB canvas your local pawn shops, yard sales, thrift stores, etc; you'll eventually find them. No they probably wont be new, but you were going to open them anyways. As long as the discs play properly and the packaging is in fair shape does it really matter, and is it worth the extra money, just to open the shrinkwrap?

Snow White.
Because a 1937 classic can never get enough platinum editions.

Pinocchio and 101 Dalmatians since I only have the VHS and the crappy Gold Collection/Limited Issue DVD. Then Sleeping Beauty was already release as a Special Edition the only way I get the Platinum Edition is if the new 2 disc set has some new bonus material. With already having both Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Beauty and the Beast on Platinum Edition it's not likely that I'll double dip again on the other hand both films being my favorite Disney films it's possible that I will double dip.

I voted for Fantasia. Because I had no idea it was on the slate.

But, if there had been an "Other" option, that's what I would have gone for.

The Platinum Edition I "can't wait for" the most is the 32.5-film "Ultimate Disney Animated Films, 1937-1995" Collection Boxset. With 2-Disc editions of: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia (Unedited), Dumbo, Bambi, Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music (Unedited), Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time (Unedited), Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Sword and the Stone, Jungle Book, Aristocats, Robin Hood, Rescuers, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Fox and the Hound, Black Cauldron, Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, Little Mermaid (Unedited), Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin (Unedited), Lion King, Pocahontas, and a more expansive 1-disc edition of Saludos Amigos (Unedited).

Hey, I can dream (while I'm perfectly awake) - can't I?
