I still have to get Muppet Season Two, but plan on getting both when Muppet Season Three comes out.
At least now in August Darkwing Duck Volume 3, TaleSpin Volume 3 and The Tick vs. Season Three will probably come out on the same day.
I wonder how Buena Vista Home Entertainment will release Desperate Housewives Season 4 (10 episodes aired), Lost Season 4 (8 episodes that are yet to air) and Grey's Anatomy Season 4 (11 episodes aired) since only about 8 or more episodes were aired.

How do you know that a Season 4 won't come out in August or November? This is taking the Dinosaurs slot from the previous 2 years.
Disney already announced via Muppet Central that Gonzo and Animal were going to be the other covers. They never said which order, however. Muppets Tonight is planned as a 6th set if the other 5 seasons sell well. I'd say that it's a good bet given how well 1 and 2 sold.
I hate the flocked packaging but Piggy only came out that way in my area.
I thought I read somewhere that Scooter(well his jacket actually) was supposed to be one of the covers. I like the close ups of the faces better anyway.
What good is the flocked packaging? It rubs off and attracts dust and if you dust it then it rubs off. I tried to find a flockless Piggy in August but no one had any. I think it's a wasted gimmick and that money should have been put into creating a bonus disc with features instead.

You must really be rubbing hard!
The flocking makes the DVD stand out and is just a neat little addition. I doubt it costs much, and they put quite a few bonus features on the sets already.

I agree. It's flocking awful. Fortunately they're being releasing in standard amarays only on this side of the pond.
I'm really looking forward to Series 3. By this point the show has really settled into its format and is turning out some really classic episodes, which don't live or die on the attraction (or otherwise) of the guest star. But as an old Gooner from way back, the Spike Milligan episode is a particular favourite of mine.
"I hope we never lose sight of one thing - that this was all started by a little girl and a cat. And a rabbit."
More than likely it won't if S2 didn't have it. I think we will more than likely be getting bare-bones releases w/the occasional special thrown in like in the S2 set.
I find you pompous, judgemental, and completely self-absorbed.........would you be my friend?
Just in normal shelf wear the flocking rubs off on the corners. You must not keep it on a shelf if your flocking doesn't rub off. My Anastasia box set does the same thing and I keep that in a tote away from a shelf. Go look at an average DVD case you've had on a shelf for years and compare it to one you just bought today. You'll see wear on the clear sleeve of the case. Your flocked box is getting that same wear.

If you say so. But flocking is cheap and this is a cheap sales ploy.
"I doubt it costs much,"
It doesn't.
"and they put quite a few bonus features on the sets already."
Like what? 2 pilots and the pitch reel are hardly a lot. Go look at the Fraggle Rock sets and see what I'm talking about. There's tons of Muppet bonus films that should be on here but are not. Just to name a few, there's the 2 Muppet movie specials, the Miss Piggy Show special, several behind the scenes films, and the Jim Henson episode of the American Experience. (Turner licenses them for bonus features so why can't Disney?) There is no reason why these sets shouldn't each come with a PACKED bonus disc. But all we're getting is maybe 1/10 of what could and should be on them. What other opportunity for a release of this bonus material could there ever be?

You know as a season I was surprised that I enjoyed Season 1 over Season 2. I was surprised by that. I'm really looking forward to Season 3 however.
"Does anyone know if this DVD will contain the Muppet Morsels trivia bonus, which was seen in the Season One DVD, but not Season Two?"
It's already been stated on this very page when and why these wont be returning. The reason why is the DVDs are now made in a different place and the Morsels cost a lot of money to make so it was dropped.
