Been a while since I posted a new DVD (I'm not even sure I ever posted in this thread and I'm too lazy to look, so sue me!

) , but I was too excited about this purchase to not proclaim it to the world:

Twin Peaks: The Definitive Gold Box Edition

For an amazingly low price of $45.49!

Our Sam Goody is going out of business (harrumph!), so they're having a storewide liquidation sale, everything is currently 20% off (even sale items!). One of the employees said that later in the week they're going to mark it all at 50% off, but I couldn't wait that long for "Twin Peaks" so I bought it today. It was $56.99 used, in like-new condition, and I wanted to snatch it up before anyone else would. Hopefully when I check out the store again later in the week, the "Doctor Who" DVDs I saw and don't have yet* will still be there and I'll be able to get them for only half the SRP!

Hey, me too!

I was really lucky actually. Our JB Hi Fi had it for about $54 (the RRP is $99 I think), plus they were offering another 20% off.

I bought that together with the Doctor Who - Key to Time boxset, which was down from $149 to $115 with an additional 20% off. All up, I saved $79 off retail, plus another $35 in additional discount. That's $114 OFF all up! I should celebrate the transaction by buying more things!

I have not watched it yet, but the review on dvdtalk said that it was Highly Recommended.
