Been a while since I posted a new DVD (I'm not even sure I ever posted in this thread and I'm too lazy to look, so sue me! :P ) , but I was too excited about this purchase to not proclaim it to the world:

Twin Peaks: The Definitive Gold Box Edition

Image

For an amazingly low price of $45.49!

Our Sam Goody is going out of business (harrumph!), so they're having a storewide liquidation sale, everything is currently 20% off (even sale items!). One of the employees said that later in the week they're going to mark it all at 50% off, but I couldn't wait that long for "Twin Peaks" so I bought it today. It was $56.99 used, in like-new condition, and I wanted to snatch it up before anyone else would. Hopefully when I check out the store again later in the week, the "Doctor Who" DVDs I saw and don't have yet* will still be there and I'll be able to get them for only half the SRP!

Scapsta

*Inferno, The Green Death, Robot, Time-Flight, Arc of Infinity, Ghost Light, Series Two/28, and Series Three/29.

Hey, me too!

I was really lucky actually. Our JB Hi Fi had it for about $54 (the RRP is $99 I think), plus they were offering another 20% off.

I bought that together with the Doctor Who - Key to Time boxset, which was down from $149 to $115 with an additional 20% off. All up, I saved $79 off retail, plus another $35 in additional discount. That's $114 OFF all up! I should celebrate the transaction by buying more things!

Could you tell me if that's worth it? I'm a big Peanuts fan (I have all Paramount DVDs but 'Pied Piper' & 'Is America', lots of Hallmark sculptures and the Complete book sets from '50-'66) but with only one new extra and claiming to be restored I just don't know if it will be.

Anyway, today I got

I shouldn't have, but I splurged. And sadly, none of them are Doctor Who titles (I had gone back to Sam Goody to see if their liquidation sale was still going on...and found the store already closed. Dammit!)

Across the Universe: Two-Disc Deluxe Edition (doesn't come out until February 5, but a local store had copies out early.)
Image

When Harry Met Sally: Collector's Edition
Image

Pretty in Pink: Everything's Duckie Edition
Image

Also, I caught the second half of Saint Ralph on TV and I want to see the first half, so I'll try and find the DVD for cheap somewhere. Along with more Doctor Who.
