Which DVDs Are You Going to Buy on 2/5/08?

Post by AwallaceUNC »

The first week of February goes a long way in making up for all of January...

There's so much this week! I will be getting The Aristocats: Special Edition (pending Luke's review). I'm also getting Christina Aguilera: Back to Basics - Live & Down Under (the 2-disc Best Buy exclusive version), as I saw the tour and would like to have the DVD to commemorate it. Across the Universe will be either a rental or a blind buy.

I also plan on renting The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Elizabeth: The Golden Age .

Eventually, I will get "Perfect Strangers": Seasons 1 & 2 and might get to Tootsie and The Apartment too. Presumably, I'll be reviewing something from this week, though I'm not sure what.

There are many more releases this week. To check them out, see Luke's weekly guide: http://www.dvdizzy.com/dvdschedule2.html#0205

Nothing for me this week. Not gonna double dip on Aristocats when a Blu Ray triple dip is coming. Apartment is an excellent black comedy for those who dont already own it.

The Aristocats, if it gets a good review from UD and I'll also try to get The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 10.2.

You've Got Mail SE & Aristocats SE (sadly no longer a 2 disc SE as originally announced).
15 gallon 7 pint blood donor as of 1-4-11. Done donating. Apparently having Cancer makes you kind of ineligible to donate.

I voted 'none', though I forgot about The Aristocats. Plan to pick that up eventually.

I'll rent The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, maybe rent Across The Universe. I hated Elizabeth: The Golden Age, such an incredible disapointment. Camp and overacting aplently. I can't believe Cate Blanchett got an Oscar nom for such a drecky performance.

Aristocats! (I've never seen it). Although I really like You've Got Mail, I'm not going to double dip as I already have it on DVD.
