I would love to see the Monkey's Uncle finally released, it's my favorite of the Merlin Jones movies. I figured it would be on the way w/the first release, but nothing so far. I would even double-dip and buy a two-pack combined w/the prequel the Misadventures of Merlin Jones.
I find you pompous, judgemental, and completely self-absorbed.........would you be my friend?

Same here. I'd like to see all those released, of course, but Monkey's Uncle more than any. I also have fond memories of Superdad. The other two are among the Disney movies I haven't seen yet. But, I don't see how anyone here can answer the question of "will they be released anytime soon."

Of course they won't. Except for new theatrical releases the only thing Di$ney releases now are Baby Einstein & Hannah Montana. If you aren't a toddler or a tween you DON'T COUNT! : :x

I would LOVE to get "The Monkey's Uncle" on DVD - - and they should include the textless title sequence (Annette and The Beach Boys, sans titles - it exists) as a bonus video!

More popular Walt Disney Productions missing from DVD:

The Monkey's Uncle (Annette!)
Escapade in Florence (Annette!)
The Horsemasters (Annette!)
So Dear to My Heart
Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow
The Incredible Journey
The Sign of Zorro
Zorro, the Avenger
The Prince and the Pauper
Sammy, the Way-Out Seal
Charley and the Angel
Superdad
Kidnapped
The Light in the Forest
The Sword and the Rose
Child of Glass

- - and of course,
Song of the South

Without hijacking the thread, I just wanted everyone to know that "Light in the Forest", is a wonderful movie. If you know of a video store that still rents VHS, give it a try. Fess Parker, James McArthur. It's a high quality movie with the high production levels that Disney had in the late 50''s/early 60's.
Where's the rest of Elfego Baca and the Swamp Fox?

Echo my vote for these movies, too!!

I bought "Westward Ho, the Wagons" on VHS, but haven't seen the whole thing yet. It stars Fess Parker, various of the Mouseketeers, and Sebastian Cabot.

I don't understand why the movies -- catalog titles in general -- have ceased to be released....

A week or so ago, I called The Disney Co. (Burbank) to see if anyone had any idea when a new batch of Disney cartoons would be released on iTunes. The person I spoke to (I don't know what department the switchboard connected me to.) said she'd try to find someone who might know the answer to such a question, but she also pointed out the Treasure DVDs to me, plus the smaller mainstream DVDs of the Fab Five. She said a duty of hers was to keep her boss' Disney DVD collection up-to-date.

I thanked her and told her I already had the Treasures, and was glad they were available. Then I also mentioned it would sure be nice to speak with someone about titles that hadn't been released yet.

She wondered what ones I was talking about, so I only mentioned "So Dear to My Heart," and "Song of the South."

She said that SOTS would NEVER be released, and she was pretty sure SDTMH wouldn't be either -- although she didn't even know what that movie was.

I have to say, there is NOTHING racist about SDTMH! And, is NOT a sequal to SOTS. Whoever says it is a sequel has never seen it. And how could it racist? Surely this Disney staffer was just unclear about it, since she didn't know what the movie was.

I mean, what, do people connote the black ram, Jeremiah, as representing African-Americans?
