New UD subpage recommendation

Post by thomashton »

Thanks Luke for the wonderful website. I've been enjoying it for years. The forums are great and so are the reviews, news, upcoming movie lists etc. I just have one request for a new subpage:

Disc Replacement Information

I have so many Disney DVDs and I know some of them are eligable for the various disc replacement programs, but haven't kept up with them and now info is pretty much burried in the forums.

If there was a page that had the DVD, explained the problem, gave the contact information and directions to get the disc replaced, updated info on whether Disney was still replacing, or if fixed discs are now being shipped to stores, and even possibly a picture of the problem that would be awesome.

I'm sure it would be a huge effort to begin a new service like that, but in case you were looking for something to do :D I think that would be a big help.

Does anyone else have any feelings on this? Would it be helpful to you?
To all who come to this happy place, Welcome...Disneyland is your land...

I think that disc replacement info would be a great "sticky" for the top of the Disney Discussion forum. I haven't had to replace any Disney DVDs yet (knock on wood), but I think that the information would be helpful to those who need it.

I agree. It would have been helpful when I was replacing my Halloweentown DVD (luckily I found an old thread about the subject). It would fit perfectly as a sticky under Disney Discussion.

It dosen't really need it's own board, though.
