DVDs of Disney Animated Movies with AUDIO COMMENTARY

Post by mermaniac »

Hi there,

I was hoping you guys could help me out. I love to listen to audio commentaries on DVDs, and I know that a few of the classic Disney animated films have them. The current Sleeping Beauty has one, as does the Platinum Snow White and Beauty and the Beast.

Is there a list anywhere of all the Disney animated DVDs that feature audio commentaries? If not, can we work together to come up with a list?

Here's mine, off the top of my head. I'm sure it's missing many:

Sleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast
Hunchback
Snow White
Dumbo
Fantasia
Fantasia 2000

Welcome to the forum. Go here:

and anywhere the word "commentary" or "commentaries" appears, there is an audio commentary on that DVD, which gives us:

Snow White
Fantasia
Dumbo
Peter Pan
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast
Lion King
Hunchback
Tarzan
Fantasia 2000
The Emperor's New Groove
Atlantis
Treasure Planet

I'm not sure from your wording if you are interested in only the 'Classic' Disney animated titles or not.

If you are interested in any Disney animated title then don't forget:

* Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
* Monsters, Inc.
* The Ultimate Toybox (Toy Story 1 and 2)
* A Bug's Life CE
* Dinosaur CE
* The Nightmare Before Christmas SE
* Finding Nemo

and maybe even

* Schoolhouse Rock

depending on if you actually consider it Disney or not.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I was not aware that FN had a commentary; how do you access it?

It's on the widescreen disc as "Video Commentary."

Some others with commentary or the equivalent:

The Jungle Book
Bambi
The Little Mermaid
"Mustard? Don't let's be silly!"
--Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland
