Holy cricket! Click here to see the official website for the DVD! I can't wait for that sneak peek! I'll be checking this every day!
I guess that's the music box!

Finally!! I wonder if this will garner a re-release of TLM2. I never got it on DVD and always have thought it one of the better sequels.
This film sounds quite in depth for a DTV sequel, too. I wonder if there's any sort of plot, or if it's just Ariel and her sisters swimming around for 90 minutes...

Did anyone else noticed that it says "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning Special Edition - The Official DVD Website"?

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
THANK YOU Old Fish Tale! Fantastic find!
I did notice that, singerguy, but the strange thing is that golden mermaid looks like Ariel or Melody to me. She seems to have either one's hair and is rather little for a fullgrown woman who was Queen of the sea.
Ariel's sisters look terribly drawn.

The site is great
I actually think it is her mother (and the picture is unclear) altought she does look like Ariel or Melody, but that whould make sense since she's Ariel's mom.
Agreed,they're looking horrible.
And poody-don't worry,i think that the cover will be like Cinderella III and will have an Ariel clipart with other charcters below.

Thank you very much Old Fish Tale, great find indeed!
In the music box we can clearly see that there is King Triton, (wide body and muscular arms, crown, long hair, taller than the other figure) and another mermaid who must be his wife and Ariel's mother. Her hairdo, although I can't see behind her back to find out if she has a ponytail or not, reminds me of adult Wendy's hairdo from "Return to Neverland".
I think the picture with Ariel's sisters is taken from a part of the movie, just like Ariel, just remastered with more shadows.
And no I don't think they look terrible, to me they look pretty. Ok Aquata is not at her best but Andrina looks gorgeous.

But, Aquata and Andrina had blue eyes in the movie, not brown and green!!!
Even though, I think they look pretty!!!

Thanks so much for the link, Old Fish Tale!
I had no idea the locket would play such a huge part in the film. I think the significance was suggested by someone on one of the previous pages... good call! lol Anyway, thanks so much. I'm glad that (from the looks of it) Ariel's sisters may have a bigger part in this film than the others.
God, just these pictures completely tie up all the loose ends! I can't wait until April?!
Also, Old Fish Tale- "Special Edition" probably means that this DVD will include the special features, as stated on the first page. If I remember correctly, most direct-to-video (err... DVD & BluRay) sequels only have the movie, and some cheesy games, like the Cinderella III DVD. I remember reading that TLM III's DVD will include a special "Making Of" for the film and the music or something. Still, very exciting. Thanks again!
And I also hope that the coverart for the DVD is more impressive... I'm not too excited for this. lol

Cinderella III's teaser site wasn't (if i"m not wrong).UmbrellaFish wrote:Doesn't Disney usually have their movie teaser sites modeled after the cover.
I think we can expect something similar to that on the cover. And it's not that bad.
More excited for this movie than ever. Now the plot dosen't sound so dumb.
I agree, that music box is related to Triton and his wife.
i think that the cover will be kinda similar but with a different Ariel clipart and maybe different cliparts of her sisters,Flounder and Sebastian might be on the cover.
I have a feeling that it is Triton and the mermaid is Ariel's mom.
And you're wellcome,atlanticaunderthesea

I think we will get the same background, same sisters, and same music box. I too think Ariel will be different, and there could be the possibility of addition of other characters like Flounder, Triton, and Sebastian.
So from what it seems, I think Triton's hatred of music will stem from his wife. I also wonder whether or not she'll actually appear in the movie.
Can't wait to watch it now.
