Current club deal
Current club deal
Hi, I just received my intro package and am now starting to get the monthly notices. This month they have 'purchase the item of the month(which is finding nemo) and get other movies at 25% off. I am wondering if this is a good deal or are there others I should wait for to make multiple purchase of movies. Any hints from the long timers?

Make sure you finish your commitment first. Discounted titles are not included in the commitment, meaning you have to pay the regular 19.95 or above to fulfill the offer (if you get a second for discount in the same order, the second movie does not count in as a requirement purchase because it would not be 19.95 anymore). After you have finished your commitment then it would be easier to close the account and open a new one and start over. for example if you get 4 or 5 introductory movies for whatever you paid plus 4 movies at regular price, then you are spending approximately 85-90 dollars for 9 movies. that is 10 a piece.
if you went the other way and finished your requirement and then decided to buy movies at 25% off after the 19.95 purchase (with the second/third being approx 15) you are spending more in the long run. Hope this helps you out, or if I need to explain more, please tell me.

Thanks for the info. Is there any time period you have to wait after you close out an account before you start another? I guess people do it all the time, so there is not really anything they can say to stop anyone.
Is it anything like the record clubs where they send you a good deal after you cancel to try to get you to come back?

I don't think there is a time frame between opening and closing an account. I think there are several on this forum that have two accounts open at the same time. As for club deals to "come back" I haven't heard any abou the DMC. Hope this helps
