Which DVDs Are You Going to Buy on 1/15/08?
January's busiest week...
I'll hopefully be reviewing "Family Guy" Presents: Blue Harvest and An Affair to Remember: 50th Anniversary Edition. Beyond that, I'll eventually get the new "Sabrina" set, but that's it for now.
As always, here's a link to DVDizzy's full listing of the week's new releases: http://www.dvdizzy.com/dvdschedule.html#0115

I suppose the odds were there that we'd one day agree on something... I, too, generally dislike Family Guy. And the humour has gotten progressively worse as the show has gone on, in their attempts to shock people more and more.dvdjunkie wrote:Will not waste my money on anything having to do with "Family Guy", but will spend it wisely on "When Harry Met Sally".
However, even disliking regular Family Guy, I have to say that Blue Harvest was very well-done... particularly if you also like Star Wars. Not saying it's worth a buy in your case, but definately a rent for the spoof-factor alone. Being something of a Star Wars (original trilogy only) fan, I gladly bought this release. They managed to recreate many of the shots (esp. external space shots) almost frame-for-frame, and John Williams' score will make almost anything good. I can simply put on the soundtracks for any of the 3 original movies, and watch the film in my head as it plays... it was that well composed and memorable.

None of those.
I just realized that I haven't bought a single DVD in a long time. I didn't even buy Ratatouille or Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and I was looking forward to getting those on DVD. I guess I really scaled myself back on buying movies after I quit my part-time.

Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.
