I have to agree. I have the Blu-Ray version of "Ice Age The Meltdown" and it is wonderful. You actually feel like you can reach in and touch all the animals. I almost liked this one more than the first "Ice Age".

The voice overs are the best. They all fit the characters, including Queen Latifah, and Jay Leno is unmistakeable. I think I have watched this movie at least once a day since I brought it home Tuesday. I know we watched it twice on Thanksgiving Day.

Cannot wait for Ice Age 3!!!

And Scrat IS the bomb...................I hope that they keep him chasing that acorn for a long time. Best 'toon character since the Road Runner/Coyote wars.

It's quite good. Sure it has better animation but i kinda prefered the first one in terms of storyline.

This is why I didn't buy the original release. Though from that description, it's hard to tell whether or not this well be a good 2-disc set or another of the many mediocre ones being released all the time. I'll have to wait to see a better list of the bonus features as the release date gets closer.

Maybe that's why some people are not buying The Simpsons Movie since it will later have a 2-Disc set.

Nah, I'm not buying the Simpson's movie because I hate the Simpson's. This movie came out way behind it's time, and I won't support it. I don't even watch the show anymore. It has outlived its welcome in my home.

Ice Age had a great 2-disc set, so I don't see us getting anything but with Ice Age 2............only it is about time!!!!!

Well I never did get around to buying the first release when it came out, so I'm glad about this new edition. Will definitely be buying.

In defense of The Simpsons Movie, I haven't been a fan of the series since the first two seasons. I ran out of gift ideas for my husband, and picked up the dvd. We watched it together to screen it before letting the kids watch it.

It wasn't half bad! It was entertaining and had some burst out loud laughing moments, at the very least. I would recommend at least renting it.

I haven't watched the Simpson's in years, and in my opinion the show has really gone downhill. However I did buy the movie, and it wasn't that bad. I laughed a few times, and the quality was a lot better than some of the last episodes I watched.

About the 2 Disc on Ice Age 2... I'll probably just stick with the 1 Disc I have now.

22 minutes??? That's dissapointing... I'll probably pass on this.

It's as if they arent' even trying anymore, except for the odd release like the Blade Runner 5-discer, and of course publishesr like Criterion.
