Oswald in the parks (!) (?)

Post by Fantasmic »

Saw this on Wikipedia:
Though the character Oswald showed up at the parks in Florida and California on the day Disney reacquired him, Oswald is not currently a character in the parks to meet and greet, like so many others are. Disney officials stated that he probably would be someday, they did not want to just haphazardly add him. When the character's future is determined, they are planning a big splash."
He DID!? Oh my lanta... anyone know about this or have pictures!? Oh wow oh wow I can't breathe I want to see.

I have been to the parks four times since and seen near 100 characters but no Oswald. I think it might have been a promotional thing for the acquire day.

The day before they had the Christmas parade in November was absolutely incredible. Must have seen over 50 characters just wandering the park including some I had never seen.

In some instances, you can't trust Wikipedia, and I think that this is one of those instances. Disney would have conveniently had an Oswald costume the day that Disney reacquired him?!?! That makes no sense to me. And then not to have him out, promoting the Treasures set? I think that the person who edited that section typed some wrong information. But, I could be wrong.

Actually I think I did see where there was an Oswald out the day of the announcement. I think it was a one day thing though.

I'm curious to see if this may be hinting that Disney might be wanting to reanimate Oswald in future shorts. It'd be a good way to place him in the public's eye!

well that's what i'd heard, that they were making another oswald short
Mr. Toad, why did you say you've never seen him and then changed your story to that you had in fact seen him in the parks? If you have any pictures please post
