This is really my all time favourite movie! I love it on many levels. Humour : the dwarfs and Snow White and their interaction. Drama: the Wicked Queen and her transformation into the Peddler Woman/Witch. Stunning artwork from the excellent characters good and evil, the to the charming watercolour backgrounds. It really is a movie which has stood the test of time remarkably well.

Of course. You can find it second-hand anywhere, in theory.

Maybe.

Everybody says this like it's fact. But wasn't it just a year ago everyone was saying October 2008? And please don't use that amateur looking schedule that was posted as evidence, because we had one of those last year saying Pinocchio and Snow White would be the 2008 PEs and it proved to be 100% wrong.

I don't want to sound rude Escapay but everybody is saying Oct '09 like it's a hard fact set in stone when nothing could be further from the truth. It just annoys me.

The correct answer to the question is we don't know for sure.

I really like this one too, for the same reasons you do. But for the past year and half I can't quite seem to watch it with out thinking "shrill, shrill, shrill"...but it's just so true!

Anyways, I already have the Platinum Editon which is very satisfying. But if I have a blu-ray player buy then I'll definitely pick up a copy of it.

I liked Whistle While You Work, it was fun and cheery. The Animals helping Snow White, clean up the house is my favorite scene of the movie.

Don't worry, you're not. I just threw in the only date that's more likely to be "correct" since Oct08 got debunked. After all, it would be 8 years after the first release, which is close enough to the normal gap between releases.

But a little birdie told me to not even consider October 2009, as it's really coming on 5.5/Apple/26. ;)

Snow White cover art?

Post by Deco King »

I wonder what the 2009 cover art for
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs will be like?

This classic movie has always been my all time favourite. A really charming movie and the Wicked Queen in her Peddler outfit and as the regal Queen Grimhilde is my all time favourite villain too!

Yeah, that was gorgeous! Same with BATB and Sleeping Beauty (I think those covers only went to France, but I'm not sure). America gets stuck with the kiddy covers which can be fun to look at, but also put into people's minds Disney's just a kiddy company.

The Collector's Edition covers for BaTB and SB were diffirent in France and in the UK... But both are equally pretty and much more adultish and artsy than the childish covers the rest of the world gets stuck with...

The UK cover was used in Spain too... The French BaTB CE cover was used in germany too... And Italy had a Edition Intergrale cover that looked similar to the UK one...

Disney Covers: Kiddy or Adult?

Post by Disney Duster »

I like how "adult" and "artsy" just seem to mean covered in shadow so you can't really see the characters...

...or being scarce with color, because, you know, the movies never used lots of color to make them beautiful...

'cause YOU KNOW, the actual artwork of the MOVIES actually looks like those covers.

And yes, I'm being very sarcastic.
